Feeling the peace that the reflection on a passing year can bring, sprinkled with the hints of what i can make of a new year yet to come.
Wishing all the best for the coming year to all the good people here in my favourite little corner haven of ICMag. Get a good 2014 up ya! ![]() Globs |

well said Globs and my thoughts are to wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous 2014.
It's nice to have another chance at Life, to grow and share with people of the same mind set. ![]() ![]()

I see you planted out some seeds of recent........Are they like a quick winter crop......Zero veg?...Would be good to have a stack of ankle biters that took 9 or 10 weeks to finish and could yield at least a solid ounce each.....Be a good alternative crop.....Be good Don.... |

Hey Don.....Sounds great...The only time I have planted out this late, was my first grow....back in the mid 90's....A friend and I raised up some bag seed....Ended up with 4 plants, which we potted up into make shift 100 litre pots.....They finished May the following year.....A 10 month grow....not what I had planned.... but at the time I guess I had no idea...it was a learning experience...There was some nice chunks of herb.....but it was full of seed due to a hermie......
I think the game has changed over recent years....with the introduction of foreign genetics......fast flowering strains....Good to see you are having a win on that front............Providing all goes well ...I'd say I'm going to average 3 to 6 ounces per plant...with the Widow X....But from the time I take cuttings to harvest....It's a 6 month turn around....Some nice herb though...The buds are filling out along the branches and are coated with resin.......I think these cool nights contribute to resin content....Anyway, I've rambled on long enough....Cheers Don. |

My builder friend assures me he will be able to get my possum-infested garage weather-proof, asbestos free and nicely lined and insulated by the end of July. I'm quietly confident I might get my first harvest of 2014 finished by NYE but I won't be betting a kidney on it just in case ![]() Just need to figure out some choice reasons to give him for needing so much power added to the garage. I'm thinking deep freezers, wife's pottery wheel/kiln, man cave audiovisual equipment, heating/air con, power tools, etc. Swedish sauna would be taking it a bit too far I reckon... My liver has taken a bit of a pounding this year poor thing. There is a direct and inverse correlation between how much weed I smoke and how much devil's liquor I consume unfortunately :( On the upside though, the time I would have spent on the grow I've been sinking into writing some software to track my future growing efforts so I'm still keeping the flame alive. Living vicariously through the rest of yours and others' grows in the meantime. Seriously missing growing this year though. Like an itch I can't scratch. All the best and looking forward to growing with you all soon
