First things first. I grew these nugs and you can check out the grow thread here: Sour Strawberry? This cut was labeled Sour Strawberry from BOG seeds. I did not grow this from BOG seed and cannot verify this is his genetics. You can pick up this cut from Organicann if you live in the 707.

Physical Examination
Visual Appeal:8 - (visual appeal of the buds from 1-10 unappealing - excellent)
Visible Trichomes:9 - (visible trichome content from 1-10 none - totally covered)
Colors present in the buds: ( on a scale from 1- 10 light - dark)
Green:8, Orange:3, Purple:1
Bud density:7 - (Bud density on a scale from 1-10 airy - dense)
Aroma Description: (on a scale from 1-10 upon freshly broken bud where 1 indicates subtle presence and 10 indicates pronounced presence)
Kush:8, Sour:5, Citrus:4, Coffee:3
Aroma Impression:6 - (Aroma from 1-10 repulsive - delightful)
Aroma Intensity:7 - (Aroma intensity from 1-10 subtle - overwhelming)
Were there seeds present in the bud? N - (Y or N)

Overall Appeal: 85 - (from 1-100 where 1 is frightening and 100 is majestic)

Exam Comments
This Sour Strawberry reminded me of some OG crosses I have run before. The nugs are super frosty and fairly dense. The smell and flavor is heavy kush with a hint of sour. More sour in the aroma than the flavor.

Smoke Test
Utensils: Clean glass bowl
Taste Description: (use numbers from 1-10 that apply to the taste where 1 is a subtle presence and 10 is a pronounced presence)
Kush:8, Coffee:3, Sour:2
Taste pungency:7 - ( pungency of taste from 1-10 light - heavy)
Taste impression:7 - (impression of the taste from 1-10 unpleasant- scrumptious)
Moisture Level:5 - (1-10 wet-dry where 5 is ideal)
Harshness:3 - (1-10 smooth-harsh)
Smoke expansion:2 - (smoke expansion in the lungs from 1-10 stable-explosive)

Test Comments
The smoke on this bud is extremely smooth. It has been curing for just about a month now and more sour is coming out with the cure. Aromas and flavors are what I'm hunting for and this one is a little too generic for me. The potency is there and the bag looks great, but I want STRAWBERRIES!

Final Comments
I am happy with the flowers from this strain, but I would never run it again. I picked up the cut looking for something with strawberry flavor and potency. I bought a pack of Sour Strawberry from BOG to go pheno hunting myself. Hopefully, that special strawberry girl is in there somewhere.

Thanks Stasis! I would like to think that everybody is honest and someone did find this in a pack of Sour Strawberry from BOG. I don't think it is the same pheno/cut that placed in the Emerald Cup. She looks great, yielded well, smells good enough, and has a nice smooth sour kush flavor. I am spoiled living in NorCal and looking for something more flavorful and potent to stick around in my garden.

Can't wait to pop the pack of seeds I picked up!

Yo turtlefarmer. I wouldn't use this smoke report as a representation of the strawberry smell or taste in BOGs SSK. See my comment to Stasis above. I'll create another grow thread and smoke report when I grow the Sour Strawberry from seed. I expect to find at least 1 pheno that smells and tastes like strawberry.

BTW... I think my old lady and I met you a couple years ago at a Good Karma farmer's market. Hope all is well up there!

There is a sweet strawberry pheno in there has hints of sumthin else vanilla and kush but straw is def dominant in the pheno I seen... I'm not sure how many beans my buddy popped but it wasn't a lot def not more then a pack so i would say there is a good chance it pops up if u look for it... It was some nice smoke
