Hey there. I decide to go completely organic from now on. I have an organic soil mix with perlite and vermiculite. I'm already 16 days into flower so it's too late to go completely organic with this grow now, though I would still like to start now. By that I mean I have already used chemical ferts in this soil.

I bought some Terracycle

I was wondering if anyone has used this before and how well it works. Also if it is a good fert to use in flower or if something else should be added.

I use diluted urine for vegging fert to stay organic but needed something for flowering and I didn't want to spend big $$

I grew fine using synthetics I just wanted to go completely organic.

I also was interested in foliar feeding. I've never used this method before and if anyone has any tips or advantages/disadvantages to foliar feeding (especially with Terracycle) your advice would be much appreciated.

MJ has pretty high nutrient demands, I doubt it will get you through flowering properly and without deficienty.
That stuff is good house plants and outdoor flower gardens but I think it will fall short of expectation for a fruit bearing crop.
I'm sure it can be a helpfull element in your nutrient schedule though.

Hello, that stuff is a ewc/compost tea from what I briefly read. Its all good, However I would use fresh casting tea to develope a microherd in your soil.

The Chemical ferts may have destroyed the benificials in your soil (or maybe not). Either way I would reintroduce them to the soil if you are going with the organics.

minds_I - what exactly is a microherd if you don't mind me asking.

I noticed an instant perkiness the day after the first terracycle feeding. The last few days stretch have been extra nice too. I think my ladies like it. What else should I be feeding them if that is not enough? I need something organic and cheap.

I bought a bottle of Terracycle last week, I noticed the NPK on it is really weak. The reason I bought it is cause I thought it would be a pretty good seedling fert, I unscrewed the sprayer attachment and poured it straight from the bottle onto my 1 week old seedlings and it definitely made a difference in growth, no burn either. It is too weak to do anything else I think.

I'm on my second week (second application)...You're right Bulletproof there is not enough NPK to carry the plant through her flowering process and it needs additives. I too have seen a great improvement in the speed and greeness of the plants growth though. Each time I've fed my ladies with the Terracycle they just stand straight at attention for the next few days. I can't wait to use some on some early vegging plants, I think it would work best then. I havn't foliar fed with it, although I've tested a leaf to make sure it won't burn. That will be another vegative bonus. I'm really looking into something organic for my NPK though, for now I'm still using the damn schultz 8-14-9. A 2L of terracycle for 2 plants per grow will be a growroom mainstay for me now.

I just wanted to say you made the right choice. Organic is the way to go. I'm real glad we aren't to die off that easy

Anyway, on to that foliar feeding question: I do it almost every evening during vegetative period and let me put it this way: even though it makes no major differnece I certainly can tell it helps to make them feel real happy in a big way. I use tap water with about 0,5ml of seaweed extract per 1L, which gives the mist that nice rainy smell. I found that it is very easy to overdo and make leaves sort of sticky or too smelly. Just a few drops will do. It's cheap, very efficient, stores good and I'm pretty sure it's one of those little things which really make the difference when combined. I don't have many plants, mind you - 15 atm, so I really know them and use my senses rather than schedules and mlgramms - I learn to see changes too inner to get on film - very cool stuff! I will also often add some epsom salts to help on Mg side and leave soil EC level unaffected. Try it for some time and see if it's something they like.
