The argument is valid, almost everyone wants to compete openly against everybody else, likewise most do not want the competition reduced to a Turkey shoot where everybody gets to win a prize, it means more if they mean something. The IC420 is run for and by the people of the site, it is not run for the benifit of the "Vendors" ... it is exactly that kind of compromised integrity that has made the HTCC etc a joke, everybody I speak to on here wants to run a proper cup that means something. There is no excuse for failure in this aspect.

ahh so last year was not open and fair? the only moaning i saw anywhere last year was from you because you didnt get your own way about the categories during the organization. in fact every year i look back at, there is posts of you moaning and angry about something before the event.

there was not 1 dodgy aspect to last years 420 cup and implying such shows your true face. i asked you last year and again this year to write up your idea of the perfect cup concept, you never did it. you prefer to complain after the fact it looks like. and again this year even though it's such a small thing.

also if there was 1 thing dodgy about last year, why didn't you say so? what was dodgy exactly? every entreat had the rules sent them in advance and knew exactly under what conditions they were entering. you questioning my honesty and integrity when it comes to the 420 cup is just beyond belief. the last years cup was run more openly and transparently then any cup i ever saw before, which was exactly my intention. this year it will be the same. 100% transparency and open results.

seems to me, you are just still bitter because you lost the poll last year and i didn't make it 1 big category but chose to have seed lines and clone only's in different categories to see how it went. knowing that people would be able to see how they did compared to all other entrants, anyway due to the proper complete score system. but you know what, rather then having you putting a downer on whats normally a fun pre event time in the forum, why don't you start a poll this year asking what people prefer 12 trophies or 6 trophies? then we will do it how ever the majority decides? you word the poll this year ok? can't be fairer then that.

Why ? If you want to discuss this, please be very precise about what you say, or everytying gets lost in stupid arguments and insults. I clearly did not say or in any way infer that 2013 was not fair or open, I was very specific in what I said. Please re read it again, you have no real language barrier or excuse for not understanding me, "WANTS TO SEE" ... i.e. if there are any changes we should make them for the best. "The best" means to improve upon, my interpretation if this is to keep thing simple, open and fair. As we both know*, there have been attempts to affect the results and I personally will not abandon my mission to stop this, on any level.

*and that it may not be helpful to go into this aspect publicly in the interests of unity, despite the fact that many people are aware of some or all of this.

It is you, and you alone who insisted on changing things, you set up a vote that was worded in a way that advantaged the outcome that you wanted, despite my constantly flagging this, you also turned a blind eye to people canvassing votes for it. The result was not exactly conclusive, but still you carried on and did whatever you wanted to do. Then you did nothing while people entered in both of the categories you created and allowed the muddled nonsense of distinguishing between some "clone only" category to drag on. All this does is create the opportunity for people to misunderstand things that are not crystal clear and thereby cause problems with arguments and misunderstandings.

For the hash last year how you wanna compare maroccan hash with extremly nice melty bubble its two differnt Worlds and if you look into the scores from the last two years on the hash the ppl entering maroc or really Black/green hashes they didnt get the same points like the others and you will always encounter that in a open hash category and will show itself in the results....personally I would never choose marcoc over bubble made really nice....Its simply not to compare.

your the expert when it comes to insinuating stuff, your last post is more of the same.

but like i said for once don't complain, instead bring out your own version of how it should be. how many times do i have to ask this? you implied that i only wanted to have breeder and grower categories so my "friends" could win. when all i was doing was replicating what has been going on at the ic 420 for ages.

the one thing i changed and i still don't see it as such a confusing issue like you do, was to allow anyone to enter a clone only strain in the grower category, at the same time allowing anyone with some breeding history to enter a seedline strain as a breeder.

you make it sound like no one is able to understand that simple concept, but in actual fact Admin reported not one complaint about last years event. what i find annoying is not that you say you don't like the idea, it's the way you say so. i definitely feel you are holding a grudge and it comes through in your posts.

if you want to be reasonable about this then pls make the poll and we will let the majority decide. because contrary to what you implied and think, i don't care who wins or won this cup as long as it's the best entry with the most points. at this point i don't even really care if we have breeder and grower or just 1 big category. but i won't let you make the choice alone as you are not even helping out this year just being difficult. so make the poll and we will see.

i know what your saying, it makes sense, it's not that i disagreed with the results, was just surprised how consistent the hash results were.

i really liked the hash party, just the idea that people will talk to each other about what they think of each hash makes me worry that some judges will let them selves be influenced in their opinion. on the other hand our crew are pretty educated about hash, so i suppose it's no big shock that most agreed about the best ones.
