when the raid happened (almost 2 years ago now) i didn't want to post about it in ALL my threads (was in a strange place in my head afterwards for sure), but if you read the original "elbow room, round infinity" thread, the one linked in my previous post, you can see the carnage and some of the circumstances... and the rebound...
generally things are on the mend but i don't think im anywhere near fully recovered from that major setback... the loss of the entire crop, all of veg, many many many genetics... since the raid i've been focusing more on making and hoarding seeds because AFTER the raid i moved (to an unincorporated area where my medical paperwork would actually protect the garden) and popped a ton of seeds to get back going asap.
and in the course of popping all those seeds i found some strains that were amazing, imo some stood right up there with the "elites" that are passed around

hell yea! thats great to hear! I know how it is to start from nothing, been there over 3x! Starting over from elite seeds sounds like a win man, especially with all you know. This unicorporated area sounds dope, I wonder if MI will have anything like that when they legalize. Any tips for a fellow pheno hunter? I got 23 phenos(6 strains) going and am curious to what you look for when culling females... ?

Damn avi, I didn't know you got popped. I had the same thing happen almost 2 yrs back. My state was not even medical at the time, but bc the cops fucked up procedure they had to throw out the case bc they violated my 4th amendment rights and no evidence could be used. I still lost EVERYTHING, all my keepers, at least 10k in equipment, my mind, my sense of security, and struggled to stay on top of the mortgage to the house not yet paid for. Took nearly a year to get the courage to start again and began with one 1k and a few seeds that the cops didn't find plus a few from a generous member here. I've been rebuilding over the last year and am again financially stable and have several rooms producing. I lost my Scott's og which was the best og in seed form I've come across aND my wif keeper which realy bummed me out bc they are impossible to find, by rascal anyway. I was lucky enough to get #43 last moth though, so things are looking up. I also am now a seed hoarder. I buy and buy and usually only pop 3-5 seeds and put the rest in a safe place just in case. I'm glad you are recovering, I've always watched your grows. Stay safe

My suggestion for pheno hunting is to run them all at least three times. I've been surprised a few times with one that didn't seem too special, but after cloned and dialed ended up being great and it would have bee a pity to toss it after a single run never knowing what she could have been. My biggest problem in my seed searches is that I usually try several different crosses simultaneously. I think I'm going to start going back to searching through single packs so I can focus on one cross and it's attributes. Popping seeds is so much fun to me though and somewhat of and addiction.

scott & pam both have been nothing but cool to me and my peeps. sometimes a bit hard to get ahold of (they are BUSY people, only getting busier). i've had GREAT experience with all the seeds i got to grow out from RD, aside from losing this batch to the cops and their whole "there is no such thing as medicinal use of marijuana" bullshit.

when scott grew for river rock... and the news that river rock owners were getting into bed with big money interests (like former monsanto ceo types) he immediately distanced himself from river rock, soon afterward started growing with green man cannabis.
so there's that....
imo he has always has been a pretty stand up guy

imo scott helped popularize the "water only organic soil" trend with his "moonshine mix" which is pretty basic & easy to build & got alot of attention 10 years or so ago.

still tho, lyric, what's the beef?

I have done multiple hunts on the same pheno, but my rooms are dialed in to the point that there is little difference between them, my problem is picking the damn winner, as many of them deserve to be. It's all about terps now, I'd be broke if I got everything tested... was thinking about using all my money from the next crop to buy a machine to test for terpene content...any ideas on how much they cost?

Scott's og and ghost train haze 8 have been 2 of the better seeds I've grown out. Right up there with wifi.
Idk what the integrity issue is with scott....I heard he maybe used triangle in crosses awasn't supposed to, but I don't even know if I'm remembering that right, and also maybe something about fire og and the docta? I don't really know or care. Everyone seems to be making money and everyone seems to be trying to nail down og kush in seed form. Anymore, the name of the game is to find a male (decent or not) and cross i5 to every elite clone you can get your hands on. Some how everyone is working with someone else's creation/find/work/whatever. The funniest thing to me is that the best shit out there tends to be a hermie accident or bag seed find. Hype it up and you are golden. Sorry for the the stoned rambling rant. I like seeds and I buy em all from everyone.
