Back in 2012 a friend and I made an experiemntal cross of Danish Gold and Erdpurt. During the 2013 season we decided to plant just a couple and see how they turned out. After chopping the males I think we ended up with just one female. Here's a couple of pics of her.

I have yet to sample her since she's been in cure but will get to it as soon as I'm able. If people are interested i'll post a small smoke report and see if I can dig up some more pics..

Esbe's work is well worth a try both indoor and outdoor. Anybody looking for some amazing and different European strains should look at what Hybrids from Hell has to offer...

It's a shame this part of the forum isn't more alive at the moment..

The initial cross was just a single fairly chunky male crossed to one Danish Gold female we had. There was absolutely no selection process so the results aren't expected to be stella by any means. The erdpurt looks to be fairly dom in all crosses that incorporate its genes. Maybe within some of the other seed there might be a lovely expression. Maybe one day I'll have a look.

Mmmmm! Love the Danish Gold!!! Looks pretty good to me. Why did you choose Erdpurt for the cross?

Have grown several of H4H strains. Particularly like Scottish....nice tight nugs, the Danish of course....Lung....love 'em all!

Erdpurt was used only because we grew out three of them back in 2012 and the one male we had was quite fat and looked nice. It was partly out of convenience and partly because the Erd is quite possibly a great breeding plant for the climate I inhabit. All outdoor plants have to be fairly early and mould resistant to get to finish here. I've been trying to find a picture of the Erdpurt male used but seem to have misplaced it for the time being.

In comparison with some of the other plants from the 2013 season this wasn't one of the best by any means although like I said I have yet to properly test the flowers yet and there could be better expressions in the other seed. The plant liked to stretch and was quite leafy amoungst the flowers.

Kal- They look absolutely great!! Recall erdpurt being Swiss or German genetics?? Or definitely a cooler climate strain. And being squat....better to keep low profile!!! ;o)

The history behind the genetics is quite long for me to explain here but esbe has it all written down in one of his albums which I have linked above.

Erdpurt is heavily inbred by my understanding and needs quite a long veg to get it to any kind of size. I'm sure you might be able to find a vigorous individual in a couple of packs though. In breeding I think it could be very good in making outdoor hybrids if you found the right mate for it..

Very nice plant you got there Kalbhairav! green and strong I acctually made a X from these lines myself this season. Found a purple DG pheno which spend some time with a purple Erdpurt male. Hoping to see the outcome next year. By the looks of your result I´m now quite stoked
