Hello everyone!

I don't know if it'a a right thread but I have quick question to you. I'm grower from poland, and I am in Brampton right know. Last time I've been here (2 month ago) I have seen in TV during breakfast that Marijuana will be legal for recreation use in 2018. Does it mean I can go and buy some pot like Netherlands? Maybe is there anyone who is able to help me?

Yes. If it goes according to plan, July 1st will be the day. However, there will only be 50 stores to start with. Expect them to run out right away, and unable to provide new product for about 6 months.

Last year, legal medical growers couldn't supply their product and were running out by June. Add a recreational market to that and you have shortages.

Excerpts of an interview Trudeau gave the TVA network in Quebec were broadcast Tuesday, with the full interview to be shown Wednesday night.

Trudeau shook his head when interviewer Pierre Bruneau asked him why he was so obsessed with July 1 as the date for the cannabis legislation to become law.

The prime minister said it “would not be July 1,” but that it would be “for next summer.”

“The date will not be July 1, I can assure you of that,” Trudeau said. “I don’t know where that date came from.”

As he stated he never did say the 1st when he spoke to the issue, but at this point there's so much confusion on the matter it may as well be cause no court case is gonna fly after that when there's been "confusion in the public" about that exact date so it is pretty well good n set for that day imo even if only unofficially like so much else in the current grey market.
I'm bettin they just roll it out on the 1st to get around any such situation, not like anyone else is running anything in Ottawa right now anyhow.
