Their prices are way too high too, especially for seeds that have such a crap reputation. I honestly dont know how they even stay in business, trying to find info and grows of their strains is nearly impossible it's like nobody grows their stuff. |

They stay in business cause people like me that had good experiences in the past figured they would be the same as they used to be.
I have heard that some varieties are the same and most are crap, which I can confirm. I bought a ton of seeds last year and the best seed plants I had were ones I made myself. |

Pepe le Skunk Where could I get some seeds of this strain? Do you have any seeds, or is this a clone only?

I still have a pack from 2004 and two packs from 2005 - perhaps there's something worthwhile in them? Incidentally, Derg Corra currently has a pure affie from Helmand available. I have yet to try it, but very excited to have it in my collection. Quote:

There's a 76' afghan thats floating around my neck of the woods. Never ran it or tried it. Seen it on one of the local clone menus. Anyone know or heard of this 76' cut

You have to realise that these landrace Afghani's are not going to be like some selected and inbred Dutch or North American plants.
They are semi wild plants, acclimatised to their area. They may not all have high yields, they may not all have a good calyx to leaf ratio, but that's because they have not been selectively bred. Their selection is natural selection from having to adapt and survive in a harsh climate. That being said, I grew Sensi's Afghani #1 and it was a nice smoke, very relaxing. Better than modern "Dutchies" in my opinion. But little bag appeal, in that the pistils were long and there were a lot of them, so when dry the buds looked brown from all the long dry pistils. Also little smell when dry. But it's "real" weed, rather than the modern bred strains some of which seem far removed from being actual cannabis plants, and instead seem more of something that was created chemically in a lab. |

Cannabis is cannabis regardless if it's landrace or hybrid... There isn't a single plant on earth that's ever been created "chemically" in a lab... That is, of course, as long as we're speaking of living respirating plants & not those plastic decorative ones. Please clarify what you really mean. |

The weed is great. Real energetic start. Very clean direction to the high. It goes right to the body when you stop to chill for a bit..I love it.

Theres a tightly held cut in Mass thats from old school. Has bright orange hairs and is a lime-ish green / golden color. It has the pure Ghani taste that I long for in my smoke.
Todays hybrids are missing this. Its a very low yielding plant and doesnt create any dense buds at all. Loose, airy buds is all Ive ever gotten from the dude. But the taste is the best tast in cannabis to be found. Hands down. Expansive and pure hashish taste that makes you long for another toke. I would love to x this into todays hybrid gene pool but it seems the dude isnt interested, nor do they care. Wouldnt part with a cut for 1k. On one hand, its a shame that he has a strain that could really help out the entire industry, and on the other hand, none of us are entitled to anything.
