Need help hooking up Timer and High Temp Shutoff

Looking to hook up a Aube Ti033 Digital timer and a Ranco Etc 111000 temperature controller. For now I'm just looking to control 2k worth of lights on 240V. I want to do this the correct and safe way. I'm not sure if the timer can even handle both of the lights? Do I need to use a relay or something to do the switching? Just need a little guidance on what all I need and how to wire it all together. Everything will be ran off a 60amp sub panel.

Manufacturer for that timer says it is for 110 volt, not 240v. So you would need a relay to use the timer with a 240v circuit. That thermostat can be wired for 120v or 240v.

Get a 2 pole 30A (inductive) contactor, the Aube timer and Ranco are excellent products.

Does the hp rating of the contactor matter?

Could anyone point Rives this way? I don't have enough posts to pm yet.

Still trying to figure out if I can hook two 1k ballasts 240v up to the Aube timer and Ranco High temp.

I know the Aube timer is only rated 120v but I thought maybe there is a way? The Ranco is made for 120 or 240 but someone told me it could only control one ballast but I'm pretty sure they are wrong. Just looking for some wiring help in laymen's terms lol.

You want to create two circuits- a 120v control circuit & a 240v power circuit. For that, you need a contactor, or relay, like this-

https://www.automationdirect.com/adc/...D-PR40-2A-120A

The points of the timer & temp controller ( the control circuit) are wired in series to power the coil of the relay, which supplies 240v to the lights. When either set of points in the control circuit are open, the lights are off.

With another relay & a momentary switch, you can create a lockout circuit, so if the temp controller shuts off the light, it stays off until you reset it.
