i'm interested in this too..

what is the theory behind using fresh cut buds versus dried and/or cured buds for cooking?

is it just about getting rid of the chlorophyl and harsh tastes or will the thc actually not 'activate' with the lipids and heat if it is fresh cut?

anyone?

its 420.. my harvest is half-dry (5 days hanging after the soil/pots had been completely dried up for 2 days and left in the dark) its too soft to smoke really well although it does burn. i have plenty of cured buds to smoke on but i really want to work my harvest into my regiment today so i want to bake some cookies or something with some.

so... its not trim/leaf material its geniune bud but it still has some water content.

what i want to know is will this bud work just as well for baking as completley dry and/or cured buds potency wise? or will they be weak like the hits are when you try to burn it?

i don't care about taste or any of that they will taste great even with a little chlorophyl left in them.

Hmmm, I used a bunch of undried buds last year, maybe around 2-3 ounces to make some butter, and was kinda dissapointed with the results. With the ammount of bud I used, I should have gotten some POTENT butter, instead of the mediocre butter I did get.

So from my experience you would be better off at the very least using completley dried bud.

I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round,
I really love to watch them roll,
No longer riding on the merry-go-round,
I just had to let it go.

If your gonna cook the trim, I would keep it frozen until you want to cook it. Fresh not dried. Really works better then dried imo. I have had some good batches of brownies using fresh.
