Speed Queen outdoor 2006

Hello Everybody!

I just bought a pack of Speed Queen seed in Wien. (Bushdoctor Co.)
I will sow the seeds soon. I don't know too much about this strain but it seems very good. I will grow the plants outdoor at 46th latitude in Europe (Hungary).
I hope this strain will be great!

Has anybody outdoor pics about this strain?

THX

Congrats to your new choice of strain!
They should feel quite comfortable in Hungary... if I recall correctly you get some hot summers over there. ;-)
This is our newest strain so there are no outdoor pics yet. But we are hoping you can contribute to them soon!
Jasmin is setting up the Speed Queen gallery for our website. You can catch sight of some SQ's in the greenhouse once it's online.

All the best, Mike

Thanks the kind words Mike!
Yes we have a hot and dry summer. The bad weather usually comes around end of Sept. I live on a nice shiny plain so I hope very good results.

Could you tell me something about the Speed Queen's stem structure? How should I prune it for the max yield?

THX & Peace

I sowed 4 seeds yesterday evening into soil (0,5 l soil / seed). I hope the seeds will germinate soon. I sowed the seeds around 5-6 mm deep. What do you think Mike how many days need the seeds to come out?

In one word the stem structure is FAT.
She gets a thick main stem with well developed shoots that are short to med. long. You don't have to prune because the plants get max. light from all sides. But if you get a wet season this year in Sept. it may be a good idea to prune 1-2x so that the colas are not so thick - this can help to prevent mold if it rains quite a bit.

Since you planted the seeds "only" 5-6mm (usually 1-1.5cm is common) the seedlings should appear soon (takes approx. 3+ days). Make sure the root does not accidentally reach the surface...this sometimes happens when seeds are planted shallow. You can just put a bit of soil on top in that case.

Mike

here are some photos from a current Speed Queen grow in another forum...

Hi WAMEN,
Speed Queen has a % of genetics from Himachal Pradesh, which is a region located in North India. This area is famous for it's charras and hippies spending their time smoking it. *lol*

Namaste, Mike
