Flowering has kicked off with all me girls. Here's my, what seems to be, most Nev's Haze-leaning JohnnyBlaze F2... Niiiice and lemony. Hardly any Blue family influence from what I can tell, so far. She and one of the Nepal Hazes are my primary lemon-scent makers. In person, she looks quite like theherbalizer's NH (inc. color)... ![]() from https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=87249&page=5 And here's the purpF13 x JB girl I've shown before, but want to have this here as a baseline to see how quickly/deeply she purples up. It happened pretty fast during the 2-week-sex-determing-flowering earlier... Taking clones of both of these today. Happy gardening PS I found my shower stall a great place to collect pollen... an isolated space that's easy to spray down/clean after each plant. Will use it to place pollen as well.

JB f2, #14
The stretchiest plant (39"), with the least developed buds, of anything I've got growing, inc. the nine 100% sativa Green Haze x Thai's... Glad I topped her multiple times. Stem-rub smells of cedar and a light blue-family musk. She seems the most "exotic" lady in my garden at the moment. I've got clones of all five of my JB f2's, and if I find one or two that I like, I'll backcross to them with their (each succeeding) male offspring. cheers

Thanks/takker for stopping by, 3rdEye and TrollDK.
This is the JB F2 (#13) that I thought was most Nev's Haze-leaning... ...with her light green color and lemony scents in veg. She doesn't stretch as much as the JB F2 (#14) in my previous post, but she's a little frostier... ...and she doesn't seem to have any cedar/blue family smells at the moment... just resinous musk. Lastly, she seems to suffer the least (of my five JB F2s) from the classic blue family "leaf claw". cheers

Greetings LowFalutin,
I'm so intrigued by these Johnny Blaze F2s. Do you have any pictures of JB F1 that you can post for comparison? These JB F2s have the closest bud structure I've seen compared to a freak Neville's Haze phenotype I had that was super killer weed. These buds are more developed/clustered than the one I had, but roughly the same structure. I hope yours turn out as potent and high quality as the one I had. Thanks, ThaiBliss

Thanks for dropping by, ThaiBliss and outdoordreams.

The lady on the right was the most Nev's Haze looking (of 5), and was the only female I pollinated to make my F2s. Ironically, her high was the least feugo, and seemed to lean towards an NL5 effect. A long cure brought out her skin-tingling haze qualities. All JB f1s were flowered in sub-1 gal. hard-pots. I had many plants/selections going at the time, so they all had to be treated like bonsais. The only JBf1 male I used was the last to show his maleness, and was light green and lemony. In addition to making F2s, he was used to pollinate: - 4 phenos of F13 (for deeper blue family exploration) - 2 phenos of Taskenti (a lemony hashplant) - X18 - Nepal Jam - Purple Cindy (Oregon Purple Thai x C99) - Orient Express - Laughing Buddha - Kandy Skunk - Herijuana Back to the F2s... Here's a couple of photos of JBf2 #4 at day 34 of 11d/13n... She appears similar to many of the Johnny Blazes I've seen here on the forum... darker, and a little wider leaves. She's been a very cooperative plant. The last two, more difficult to grow, JBf2s will be posted in a few days. cheers

LowFalutin,
Thanks for digging up those pictures for me. Sorry to hear the F1 mom wasn't the best, but you may have made up for it by the selection of the male. Do you still have a cutting of the male? Do you still have more F1s to test? Perhaps you can find a better pairing if the male turns out excellent. Males take more work to test, but you're getting close to completing it. Confirmed good males are precious. I'll be planting some distantly related strains within the next week. I have a Gypsy Nirvana Thai Stick x (Neville's Haze x Mullumbimby Madness), and also a pure Oaxacan. If I remember correctly, the Johnny Blaze has Neville's Haze and Oaxacan in its lineage, I think. It should be an interesting and challenging grow. I will probably want to find something a little easier to grow to tame them if either turns out great. Looking very good LowFalutin. I'm looking forward to your next updates. ThaiBliss
