They'll be sitting under the T5 array for awhile, for node-
stacking and root development.

The three F13xJBs have another week or so before
they get their up-potting.

btw, I decided to launch those now since there were so few of them,
and can use the JBF2s for male pollen/receptive female if
needed to help continue this "purple F13xJB cross" line.

I've got enough "green F13xJB cross" seeds to do a more
proper selection with, and pursue a green line at another time.

(both green and purple F13 mums were of the ~ 12 week
flowering kind)

I'll also try to split the JBF2s into green and blue/purple lines at
this point as well, for eventual back-crossing to the above lines.
And crossing with Ace's green and purple hazexthaiF3s,
or more likely, F4s.

have a great rest-of-the-weekend

cheers
LowFalutin,

I forgot to tag this thread so I get updates. I've heard good things about Johnny Blaze, but I forgot what it is. Is it a Haze cross?

Hey T.-

Johnny Blaze was a Neville's Haze x Blueberry Sativa cross done by Red of Legends Seeds, with djShort supplying the BBS pollen, I believe. I think much of the success of this cross goes to Red's NH selection...

"The original Neville Haze mother I used was very lemony smelling. If she stretches like crazy-could be a JB."
- from https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=72099

The Blueberry Sativa (B130) was used in several crosses, inc. j.Blaze, F13, True Blueberry, etc...

(from https://www.seedsman.com/en/origins-of-blueberry/ )
...but never released on its own.

btw, compare the above pic to _Ina_'s F13 in this post https://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.ph...&postcount=247

cheers

LowFalutin,

I grew a Blueberry cut that someone shared with me. It did not do it for me. On the other side, you know I had a Neville's Haze that I rave about all the time. Top shelf KILLER, if you find the right phenotype!

I once had some Flo seeds that turned out decent. At the time, I had LOTS of different seed strains to look through, and I gave the rest of the Flo seeds to a friend. Looking back on it, I regret not looking at them more closely. It had some interesting effects, and tasted great. I was too quick to judge because the buds were small and were slightly hermaphroditic. I know better now, I hope, to search more thoroughly anything that shows a glimmer. Those old school high grade strains have become too rare these days.

All the Best,

ThaiBliss

purple reign

Thanks for stopping by, ThaiBliss.
You'll find other thai fans here too.

Broke up my last F13 nuggets earlier this week.
Harvested last March.

My most purple JBF2 at 26 days from seed,
with all three purpF13xJB at 20...

The mutant's got some catching up to do.

Rubbing the stem on the JBF2 gives a rich more-ish cedar aroma.
dj ought to go into the cologne business.

They all continue doing time under the T5s until the flower room opens.

cheers

first Johnny Blaze F2 lady to declare...

The stretchiest, and one of the earliest to push above soil (#3),
I thought she was going to be a he. Stem rub gives a very woody
smelling cedar aroma.

She and her siblings are recovering from some strategic neglect-
while other similar projects were being finished, and others started,
some current projects received less light, fresh air, and proper up-
pottings, etc. for a time.

After they re-acclimate to their new, more hospitable, environment
I'll begin topping as needed, and maybe do some bonsai training.
It's what I have to do in order to be able to work with some numbers
for a decent selection... in a small space.

More updates to come!

cheers

Cheers, steamboy. thanks for dropping by.

Five of the 14 have sexed so far, a little over 8 weeks from seed-
3 males
2 females

One of the males seems to have the OPT's purple stems (w/out cedar
aroma) and off-green leaves, crinkling too.

One, seeming HOG-oriented with red stems w/cedar aroma, hardly any
leaf mutations, and is the stretchiest of the whole lot- looks like it'll
render female; which would then make three birds total.

pics to come, so you all can give 'em a proper dog-eyein'

Meanwhile, these seems to be some of the most Neville's Haze-leaning...

...and still un-sexed.

cheers!

more pics

Here's the most red-stemmed JBF2

stem-rub is very cedar
surprisingly normal leaves

Here's the most purple-stemmed JBF2

stem-rub is spicy (patchouli-ish?)
crinkled/mottled leaves

This was the first plant to push above soil,
but has the skinniest leaves

stem-rub is cedar
crinkled/mottled leaves

And here is the purple-pheno F13 x JB trio

all with purple stems
middle and right plants have crinkled/mottled leaves
the plant on the right looks like its pulling in some indica genetics
all 3 are un-sexed

I germed my green-pheno F13 x JB. A couple of the seedlings
have a really nice cedar-lemon aroma with stem-rub.
Velvet-y stems.

cheers

Greetings LowFalutin,

I think this plant is really great looking, crinkle leaves or not. It has that wicked, bad ass, Sativa look. Nice photography also. I like seeing the bright light hitting the plant. It has been a while since this post, how are things going now?

Looking good LF . I'm also liking the looks of that thin leafed one.
Any buds yet?
