johnny blaze was a legends release done by red as a joint project with dj.

i have read that dj has both seeds and mother cuts with him at his lectures... of his own lines, not sure if he would have legends stuff,,,

I only was able to get four seeds of this particular F13 x JB cross.
(I used four different phenos of F13 for crossing)
The F13 mother of these seeds looked almost exactly like
Bohempian's small calyx pheno...

I used the same electric green pheno JB male in all the F13 crosses
as was used to make the JB F2s. So far, 3 of 4 seeds are up- including
another pair of twins from this JB father, and a seedling with purple-
tinged leaves...


I'd like to think that it was due to the genetics, but it also could be
cold/nute issues. No other seedling is doing it, tho'.

I have one that is a very pretty color of purple since summer! So..it is not the cold..at least..not my Johnny Blaze! I have the electric green ones too! monkey5

The 3 F13xJB seedlings are mostly coming along...

the one on the left was the purpling seedling.
the one on the right was last to push above soil,
but soon overtook the rest in growth- maybe this
is my knight in shining armor, coming to my
pollenational rescue.

So, the above two are doing mostly fine.

The first to pop above soil was this mutant...


Its twin died- it was verry tiny.

One last seed still in the dirt.

All 14 JBF2s, three F13xJB, and a couple of NepalHazes (Ace).

(NepalHazes are "pointy" 1 and 2,
started same time as JBF2s-
18 days from seed)

9 and 13 are showing the most leaf crinkle.
Check out how small/slow the little F13xJB mutant is
compared to her siblings (narrower stick 2 and 3).

The 14 JBF2s were up-potted over the past two days...



...using this soil mix-
5-7 parts FF Light Warrior
5-7 parts Black Gold potting soil
1 part FF Ocean Forest
pearlite, to taste
dolomite lime
azomite

They'll be sitting under the T5 array for awhile, for node-
stacking and root development.

The three F13xJBs have another week or so before
they get their up-potting.

btw, I decided to launch those now since there were so few of them,
and can use the JBF2s for male pollen/receptive female if
needed to help continue this "purple F13xJB cross" line.

I've got enough "green F13xJB cross" seeds to do a more
proper selection with, and pursue a green line at another time.

(both green and purple F13 mums were of the ~ 12 week
flowering kind)

I'll also try to split the JBF2s into green and blue/purple lines at
this point as well, for eventual back-crossing to the above lines.
And crossing with Ace's green and purple hazexthaiF3s,
or more likely, F4s.
