I'd advise caution when ingesting cannabis for the first time. It comes on slow, lasts a long time, and like a hit of acid, there's no going back on the dose. It'll whup your ass if you're a little too eager.

There's no potency lost on the exhale or going up in smoke, either. It all goes into your bloodstream.

Just a friendly word of caution.

Oh yeah....I've dabbled in capsules, the space cakes in Amsterdam, the Nutella squares or brownies of yore. Have noticed though, the overly ripe (start of degradation), a different effect. Want pain decrease, and ability to function. So, the dabbling continues.....;o)

I have been using Help oil (dixiebotanical) at night seems to help me sleep. comes in 2 strength's 1oz 100mg vial and 2oz 500mg vial. It taste really good. The bad part is they are always out of stock.

The ingredients are not complete just says

Glycerin from natural palm oil, hemp oil, organic modifier (food grade alcohol) CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), water, emulsifier, cinnamon extract.
Hemp extract (stem & stalk)1.25 mg for the 100mg vial.
The 500mg is Hemp extract (stem & stalk)3.125 mg

I'd say anyone who's tried edibles and got a bit too much the first time is kinda reluctant.
Picture Amsterdamn in the 90s .... brownies with THC doses that would knock out snoop dogg ;-)
it can be sooo intense, I imagine it can get really scary if you're a novice and had no idea how much you're ingesting. Who han't heard of horror stories of buddies whoi thought they'd die. Or that one cop in the US on youtube who calls the ambulance !
scary if you weren't really prepared by experience for what's going to happen and how it feels but as we all know all that's really going to happen is you fall asleep eventually...
edibles are great!

Thank you for the needed input. Sleeping isn't necessarily my problem. Investigating Rick Simpson oil in the hopes of finding/making pain relief. I just want to be able to function during the day without writhing in pain. Hot soaks, sauna offers temporary relief...but I can't take the tub with me. Narcotics do the trick, low dose 3x a day, however with the "contract" not being able to imbibe (and yes, 1-2 hits a few times a week do the job, taking edge off pain thus increases activity) really is a concern.

On a tight rope, so do I bite the bullet and avoid cannabis altogether (bummer) due to the NO CANNABIS, NO ALCOHOL pact, or do I ease off Rx, negating the narcotic contract and introduce or keep in my system, the CBD content for pain. I've found med cannabis physician can make it legal, however in terms of guidance, it's the dispensaries that "recommend" strains for such....and not necessarily medically knowledgeable in precursors to pain, focus, etc. Bud tenders are great, but like to follow a regimen much like a naturopath would recommend. I have had consults with qualifying doctors talking about tincture preparation, poultices, edibles. However, no follow up once I'm a legit card carrying med cann patient. Anyone else experience that? Internet searches have been invaluable.

Too, others I grow for have had similar situations. Seems to me there should be intermediaries helping dose once a med cann patient. So, my own quest follows in finding/growing high CBD, take medibles responsibly.

@ outcast- I looked at Dixie botanical and see I can order on line. Thank you for that tip!!
@ headband...maybe it's thinking of Reefer Madness reactions...lol.

Citicholine. Buffers the THC in the body. Magnesium and Orange Juice help also. Sometimes edibles/ oils are to Potent to aid in relief. From what I understand the CBD enters cells, THC attacks the cell.

If one removes leaves pruining etc, the plant senses and increases both CBD and CBN. It all in the harvest technique I find.
