Hi Pinkus,

Where did you get those seeds?
Is it possible to obtain Mullumbimbi Madness seeds?
From what I've heard about it, it must be a hell of a strain.
As far as I know (and in this case it's not much) everybody in Oz who smoked it, raves about it.

A friend passed on F2s to me... and I know he gave all he made away. I'm popping 3 more as this one really exceeded my expectation in almost all respects. This particular plant stays small, at least relative to any other sativa I've grown.

Siever,

I think if you do a search, there is quite a bit posted about it on various websites. I know, because it is a strain I've been curious about for a long time. I believe the most common speculations are that Thai and Colombian are main components in its lineage.

Hi all, some days ago I said I had one female and 2 males. Well, the two "males" showed some female preflowers on top of them. One of the plants has, on the same node, on one side a male preflower, on the other side, a female preflower...which kind of hermies are they?...what should I do?...wait and see and then maybe cut the male preflowers?

thanks in advance

Thai Bliss,

I remember reading the same somewhere, but because pure Haze is also Thai & Colombian
I thought I was confusing Mullumbimbi Madness with the pure Haze.
From what I've read on the net both strains must have simmilar effects.
Never smoked anyone of those 2.

Sweet Flowers,

Just cull them because sooner or later there will be a couple of tiny flowers you've overlooked
& then you'll have tons of seeded bud. Marijuana con semilla no sen semilla

Siever,

If I remember correctly:

Haze - Colombian x Mexican x Thai x South Indian

Mullumbimby Madness - Thai x Colombian mainly with possible indica and Papua New Guinea Gold in the mix.

This is only what I remember reading about as I do not know.

Effects may be similar. However, different Colombians have different effects, different Mexicans have different effects, etc.. The possible combinations of these genetics are enormous. It is possible that these strains could be wildly different. In fact two different plants from any single strain can have significantly different effects, even in relatively stabile populations. Have you ever owned a few dogs? Look at all the possibilities of different varieties. I think Cannabis is equally varied.

Sweet-Emotion - In my experience, hermaphrodites found in early stages of growth are not worth keeping. I'd treasure the one solidly female you found, and do your best to grow it beautifully. Please post pictures of it again soon.

I have a couple of pictures of my own:

These buds are ripening quickly. I think this is week 7, and I doubt these will make it past week 9. I looks like all the original pistils have died, and second flush has gone from white to a yellowish color. Resins are accumulating in impressive amounts.

The aroma is wonderful! Sickly sweet, sweet, sweet flowers with a candied carrot smell.

I have dialed back the daylight time from about 11.75/12.25 to about 11.5/12.5, and reduced the fertilizer to almost nothing. On a lot of buds, even the small leaflets sticking out of the top are turning yellowish. I never had very much fertilizer in the mix for this plant. The yellowing usually occurs easily on the fan leaves of most sativa strains while the small leaves in the buds often stubbornly stay relatively green. Not so with this plant. Yellowing is occurring in these tiny little leaves that make me concerned about mold. I checked the humidity, and it has been near 40% during the daylight hours, so I don't think it is mold. It may be that this is just a "gold" type of strain or individual.

Can't wait to see how it cures and smokes!

Happy Growing,

ThaiBliss

I wouldn't worry to much if it was just a couple of leaves

Siever and ThaiBliss, thanks for your advices.

Here are some pics...the good shot is the female Zamaldelica, the 4 bad shots are the male and female preflowers on the other two plants.
