Harvesting and processing seeds
Ive got a few questions here for anyone that has knowledge of this. Assume that the seeds were hung with the plant, then harvested and dried further.
How long should one wait after harvesting a seed before attempting germination? Is there a minimum to shoot for or are they viable once dry? What else if anything can be done before germination to increase germination rate? Should seeds be stored in the freezer? Some seeds need to be frozen before they will germinate. Come on now bubba, serious question. I just tried to germ a whole batch of hermie seeds and only 2 have popped thus far out of 20 or so. Not good to say the least.
I would like to improve my rate next time if possible. Most of them looked mature but refuse to pop. |

how did she turn out? I started 10 hermie bagseeds last summer and they all showed female under a 60w incandescent
I topped the best 4 or 5 and started over from that. Turned out pretty good considering it was a first grow. Anyways, I still have both strains for use later but no more beans. At least I know the 2 that germed will be girls!!! |
