well I got a pack of Somas G13 x lavender feminized seeds.
from a reputable bank. seed pack labeled feminized
always wanted to try something other than nycd.
anyway, paid way too much for these....
9 of 10 popped
after all this time 6 showed male preflowers. wtf
I read ojds post about fem seeds showing male preflowers then turning female to complete the flowering cycle. but they are to only show proflowers, no balls.
I pulled these 6 and took them to another location to start flower, these are only testers after all.
they all dropped balls, lottsa balls
what a disappointment to have males from a feminized pack, mistakes can happen I guess.....
the regs I popped were well over 50% female

Will you use any of the males to collect pollen. The g13lavender could be a really nice strains?

nope all males were killed.....
only room for one pair of balls around here hahaha.
not sure how viable the pollen would be from a feminized male, if in fact they were feminized.

you need to point your complaint at the place you got the seeds. Soma has not been active here for a long time, so you will most likely get no reply from him here. try and get his email off his site or where ever you got the seeds.

Cracks me up when people planting fems are surprised. Perhaps more research might help. Seems taking short cuts, could be the long road. Peace GS

GS mate, i have grown fem seeds, they work, as long as they are well made. he can not be blamed for expecting what the label said. it's not like good fem seeds are a mythical beast, they are all over the place, lots of growers are using them all over. so yeah if you make fem seeds, you better test them before going to market, lol.

anyway, send Soma a email, include pics of the males and a pic of the seed packet. then hope for the best. with any luck you will be sorted out. they will want proof though.

Just saying, this is not the first person with fems complaining. The internet is riddled with complaints on fems. Hence back to my point on more research. Find companies with the fewest complaints and maybe start there. Some times peeps just get it in their heads they want something, no amount of info will sway them.

not try to get a refund or anything. just trying to warn the next person.
I didn't save the pack, but im sure the co has it in records. not their fault. i have a couple pics, but the boys with balls have been burned.
like I said earlier, these were testers in my mind. doesn't matter to me if the beans are reg or female. they are all testers for a minimum of 2 rounds.
if I find a keeper, the pack is still worth it to me. 1-3 shot...
as for sifting through complaints..... people will complain about everything. hahahaha
not really any info on this particular cross anyway. complaints on one item, doesn't mean the other item isn't the truth.
I really only hope for one golden bean in every pack.

Hey dob sorry to hear that. But soma is a fraud and a hack no respectable breeder who claims to love this plant and lifestyle would ever charge 30.00 for one bean. He's just a money grrubbing hack. There are great breeders out there who charge less then thaat for much better products I had 25.00 on a fem pack of northern lights 4 beans. And my pack had a full 10 beans all fem. And great smoke quick finish at 7 1/2 weeks. I don't support leaches like soma who want a quarter of my check for 5 beans. Many people I know are medical users and don't have that kinda money to throw away. But just wanted to say thanks for the post.
