Cannabis tea probs.
Hey guys,
I tried making some tea twice and both times without any effect. I Placed a tea cup of water in a cooking pot and waited for it to boil,i then placed a teaspoon of butter together with a gram of herb in the pot. Placed a lid over it and let it simmer for an hour on a low heat. Anybody have an idea why i don't get any effect of the tea(high...) ? Or if you have any (better?) ways of making tea? Bless,

The water was your problem. THC is an oil, of sorts. It doesnt dissolve in water. Use milk next time. Ill give you my recipe.
Milk Butter Grass Cinnimon Vanilla Butter. First step. Grind that pot as best you can. Take about a tablespoon of butter and put the pot into the butter. Mix well. I use a lot of pot since it takes a lot more pot to get the same effect. Usually the butter winds up a puddy, almost. But it helps with the extraction process. Make the milk hot, but dont let it boil. Add the butter, cinnimon and vanilla to taste. Let simmer for about 30 - 45 mins. Drink! I even eat the green at the bottom. Tastes a lot like a chai tea.

THC does dissolve in water!!!
yes its true. I frequently make ganja tea with just water - thats right NO BUTTER or any other fats. You do need a bit more to get you stoned, but its a much better effect. Not heavy and incapacitating, but more heady like similar smoking it. MY METHOD: I get some trim a nice little heap. like maybe a good sized handful (depends on how potent it is of course). I boil this for a long time in plain water, adding extra water as required. Up to an hour or so. The water turns a dark murky colour. I strain the liquid and its good to drink. tases nice herbal and a little peppery, soothing. gets you stoned in 15 minutes and lasts about 2 - 3 hours. I recomment it strongly.

yeah..Like ezra said you need to boil it first I think for best results. well not boil more like simmer.
I put half n half and butter in a little skillet with my weed and I simmer til it turns bright green. I strain it and either make hot choclate or I make a chai drink with it. Its a nice body buzz. |
