I have received permission to throw a Kiddie pool contest that I have been itching to throw since I started my 1st PPK Kiddie Pool a few months back. Having come across another members post joking about the idea of a KP contest a few months back. I decided to challenge myself and see if I could build what my minds eye had built as soon as I thought Kiddie Pool... It has proven to be a very easy and flexible concept that allows for many different approaches and styles of growing in. So I thought to myself... Self... It's time for a contest of minds eyes..(Idea's) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ This Poll is intended to see if there is a desire from fellow members for a Pool Party on a EPIC scale.... lol This poll will run for 30 days,yet if there is enough momentum going the contest could be launched after 9/26/2013... I figure we could hash out some basic ideas/concepts and maybe motivate other to join in... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ There is a prize being offered... Being that there is a prize included, I am asking that there be a minimum of 6 solid entries (Pictures of pool build supplies) in order to start the contest and qualify the prize offer... You can grow as many or as few plants as you like. You can grow in any style using any technique you like. Use 1 pool or 5... Any medium of you choosing... Everything is up to you and how creative your minds eye is, once your in a pool... The Contest..... The rules and regulation are Flexible and a work in progress till 9/20/2013 At which time I would like them in place & locked down tight.. Entries: There will be a 30 day window to enter the contest and make it on the winner poll list. ~~~ Im thinking maybe a 2nd Reserve list as well. For those that come late, In case someone drops out for whatever reason. The next person on the reserve list will take their place.~~~ If this contest really takes off there may be a limit on the number of entries allowed. This would be something like 20 main and 10 reserve. To enter contest you have to post pictures of your pool/pools. Not built. Simply, that you have them in hand and ready. You must however have plant in pool within 30 days of the official start date or risk losing your spot to a reserve member. Also acceptable (for those going small and fast) 12/12 from seed type thing... A completed/functioning build minus plants in place. EDIT~~The grow must be cut buy the end date and results shown (Either fresh cut or cured/weighed)* So as there is something by which to be judged. EDIT~~ The reserve list contestants must be cut by the End Date as well in order to qualify for a spot on the Poll List.~~ Judging will be based on a mix of : Creativity Quality/quantity Effectiveness of design The grow thread/show Again- Judged by your fellow members.... ~~ Rules... 1) You have to use a Kiddie Pool ( A pool that hold at least 20 gallons of water ) At least 36" wide and or 8'' tall... Fellow members will decide if a pool used does not qualify as a POOL. 2) The plants (Roots) must be grown in the Pool. Cant just place 6 pots in a empty pool and use it as a catch tray. 3) You must have fun... I like things simple and believe in common sense... I also believe that fellow members will help keep things real and stop those that might not want to play right (by the rules)... lol Length of contest : 5 months from the start date. Giving time for longer Veg and bigger grows. Judges : You are the judges... A 30 day poll will be held the day after the Contest end date. Prize... A 50 pack of Border Haze seeds.. By Cannafornia seeds... Border Haze~link~ SSH x Golden Mexican Sativa ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~ Im asking for ideas on how to throw this party right and looking for feedback on possible rules,length of contest,judging and just good ideas in general... I want to lock everything down (Rules and such) over the next few days. I want to keep it simple,safe,educational, easy going and most of all fun. So.... Come one... Come all... My 1st Kiddie pool grow...

This is but one of many ways to play in a Kiddie Pool.... Just placed in pools.. Just about to be taken out... This grow is brown bagged ATM and looking good on weight and quality... .

My entry for the contest...
Just placed in pools days ago... 5 Border Haze in a pool... Not wanting to make this a thread about my build I ask that you check out the link above to get the bulk of information on this build. However the quick and simple is... This is a All in one Wide Pot Kiddie Pool P.P.K 3/4 of the water from the bottom pool is transferred to the top pool. Which now takes 1 minute using 2 400 gph pumps. This is done every 90 minutes 24/7 Being fed with Jacks Hydro and Jacks Cal/N... The coffee can in the bottom pool controls the water level with the float valve. The can has a 1/16th whole in the bottom so as to slow the drop of water level between flooding. The water level is maintained to give the grow pool a PWT of 3''-4''... The grow pool (Top Pool)consist on 8 wicks being held in place using cut up smart pots.. There are many mediums you could use with this design but I am using Calcined clay, which means a clay substance subjected to a heating process... Or Turface if ya like There is a 15 gallon Volume reserve tank that attaches to the float valve. That it... I fill the volume tank and the system takes care of the rest... Got to love the PPKs.... Which you can find much more on by searching PPK or just go to the link... big plant ppk delta9nxs But again... This is but ONE way to play in a Kiddie Pool.... Peace....AD.... Sounds good to me. Im thinking I need to acquire a decent strain for this grow.
Im gonna try something simple with this. Not yet sure the medium I want to give a go. It is going to be in a 4x4x7 tent with 1k vert in a cooltube vert scrogged with a cone shaped screen. I still need to grab some items for the build but nothing hard to get. I could start a thread soon but not sure about what genetics I will use.
