pot snobs need love too.
i am afraid i am a pot snob. so much so that well, if i didn't grow it, i probably won't smoke it more than once; if it doesn't look right i won't smoke it at all...
i live in fort collins so i know that there is really dank all around me, but all i ever see when i go out is disappointing...!! so now that pot is legal in colorado, how would those of us who like to smoke the sweet elite get together? i do not wish to violate the tou of this website, and i do not encourage such violations, so i am looking for suggestions. anyone? |

I'm not in CO, but I daydream about being there all the time. I'm looking for a job in my career field there as we speak. Because of that, I think all the time about what kind of "culture" can be set into place, and different ways of going about networking and sharing and stuff. At any rate, take all of this with a grain of salt, since I currently live in a state that isn't even medical.
I would think you could form a "social club" kind of a thing. Like, membership style. Seems to me that if you aren't selling anything to each other, no laws would be broken, provided any other stipulations are taken into account (like not being near a school, that kind of thing). This way everyone can share what they got and network it up. It would basically kind of be like a farmer's market, but where there are no customers, and the farmers just trade with each other. This way people could grow one strain if they wanted to, but still have the opportunity to have some variety in their smoke. |

the more i think about it, it is way too early to expect anything like a mature market. but damn there is a market for sure.
how will it look? Smoking weed in bars or coffee houses? in the meanwhile, there could be a smoking club within a mile of the house and i wouldn't even know it. what we really need is a generic pot information website here in Colorado. |

That is what we need, but I don't see any way or form that the powers to be are allowing that in the newly written law. Do we actually have to go and pass another law to allow them?

Coffeeshops would be cool, but with cities and towns bowing out of the entire retail scene all over the state, I don't see the voting public taking a re-vote to allow such entities. Most folks realize how fortunate we are to be able to grow and possess in our homes without fear and aren't looking for anything more from the law at this point in time.
