Is this a trait of SPG?
A few of my SPG bx seedling have this going on. Instead of the branch coming out right where the leaf meets the stem they are coming out further up the stem like so.
Anyone else seeing this? |

Grapefruit will show sign of sex as soon as roots touch the inside of the pot. They then go back to 3 then, 1 leaf patterns. Peace GS

GS - That odd branching is to do with sexing?

Well that's funny. All my plants are root bound in 7 ounce solo cups yet none are showing sex.

Green Supreme runs the SPG ...he knows his plants.
I think I saw a bit of this on the more Sweet Tooth dominant plants with the Venus, ie Phillthy's KKSC x Swt#4... And I'd agree about the auto-sexing, actually. When running Carolina Blue, BS 2.2 x GK, I used to think it was the blueberry genes in her that caused the auto-flowering, but after much research and a few attempts at environmental variations - I realized it was the sweet tooth in the BS 2.2 that was causing the issue... It's surprising how dominant that trait gets passed down to the next filial generations. Makes for very difficult moms... dank.Frank

It's a mutation. It's called 'fasciation', the stem becomes flat.
there's not any actual problem in that... except for the weird shape it is going to grow. it may be prone to mold if it happens in the buds. actually I saw those on spg hybrids but also on other varieties I wouldn't bother that much if it's going to be a good plant my 2 cents

It's weird that you have two seedlings that have the fascination thing going on. In all my years growing and popping beans, I've onlt had fascination one time. It was a critical mass 33 from ch9. I cloned it and all the clones grew normally. The strain was shit so I canned it.
None of the spg bx testers I have are doing this. I do however have some weird leaf formations going, and some really blueberry looking plants. Mine are in 3 " rockwool cubes. During the next couple weeks they will start to show sex. The strongest showing females(pistils blasting out of the crotches) will become mothers and the rest will go into a flood table that has an open space.
