i had a 68 Camaro 327 R/S w/a powerglide tranny in the 70s.
I reworked the engine, top half only to start with.
ported and polished the heads my self,
also sized the intake manifold to head intakes exactly to the gaskets did the same to
exaust to header gaskets, when the gas left the holley the ride was smooth as a babes ass when it hit the headers.
later i found a 69 impala station wagon that had *double hump* heads, 2.02/1.78 valves
I reworked the engine more and put a turbo 400 and re-programmed it
another goodie I got from the impala as well t
hen put a bigger crane cam in it..... a LOT bigger
when I put 110 octane aviation *blue gas* in it I could cruise at 45mph
kick it in hard and the back tires would *break traction* from the asphalt and slide around if i wasn't careful

a handfull??? oh man AM I envious!!
the 67-->69 Zs were absolute killerZ
I always wanted a 69Z
my bro had a 396 big block 67 chevelle.
I remember the day his friend just scored a 67 Z camaro and came by to show it off.
straight off the showroom floor I watched that suckerZ front tires jumped *over* coke cans placed in front of em....

LS3 stroked to 408 CID fully forged internals. Stage 5 LS7 heads. Garret ball bearing 68mm turbo and a garret ball bearing 76mm turbo. After this run comes down in a few weeks she will be off to have the compound turbo setup installed and tuned. Just got my t-56 back from being fully upgraded and cryo treated . Shooting for on a low boost tune 800 to the wheels and a high boost setting at 1200whp on 91 octane. Will also be doing a kill mode tune running c16.

The car will be primarily for Tx2K type events and half/full mile events
