As mentioned in the other post answering your question or permission, I suppose, yes, the male is what you wish to spread in goodness and future PpE hybrids.
I take no offense in having you do your own breeding with our hybrids. In fact, it's kind of cool you chose afterthought for mating. If you have an abundance save for other grows you might have, be it photoperiod or other's auto strains. There's loads of them out there. You might want to look at threads or e-articles about pollinating. Several different techniques and seeing how autoflowers are so short lived, I don't recommend cutting him down like you would photoperiod branches in water to collect pollen. Maybe segregate your choice male(s), or if you like the light blue male for all your girls, let them have an orgy. ![]() It'll take extra time to have the seeds fully mature so plan that around your set up these next 6-8 weeks making sure plants don't get too cold. Sounds like you have enough growing you can seed some and others, a little harvest for a Thanksgiving snack! We recently reduced the price on current stock, so if something happens (like hungry critters looking for fall fodder, frost), the strains are a few dollars lower so we can replenish the favorites and introduce a few new hybrids (f1's, f2's) later this fall. Keep on growin! |

Yeah, one more game determines Cardinal's or Dodgers. Sounds like you are on the right path. Make sure seeds fully mature. All the best. Keep on growin'.

Just ordered some Blitzoid from the bay, but after reading this thread I should've picked up some Azure rocket, but I've heard nothing but good things about AF autos. Counting down the days until they arrive

Azure Rocket is one of the ones we continue to have in stock. Have changed it a little 2.1 adds another strain to the mix. It's great, too, but original is like Classic Coke...don't mess with it! lol. Only one of my strain testers (they grade after grows as far as taste, smell, effect, potency, etc.) did not like it....but he likes BIG couch lock or soaringly high. Azure Rocket invigorates, motivates...something I and others really need, a happy, slightly trippy but provides pain reduction from the Blue Himalaya/Mini Gun factor. Too, it influences creative vibes....very social, too without being a blithering idiot..... Realize one strain is not the fix all, be all. By all means, you can post photos, opinions. We try to keep low key/humble....With the recent Gypsy detainment, not knowing who looks/sees...prefer to let the products speak for themselves without a lot of pics to prove the point. Ya dig? |

I started my double barrel around 10/1. I got 9/10 germ rate, one was a runt all along but ended up male. They were started in 3 gal grow bags and 8/9 grew very large and healthy. I ended up with 7 males and two fems. I killed smaller 5 males right away and then one more after being outshined by its brother. Flowering seems a little slow for an auto, but if its size and the way the flowers are beginning is an indicator it will be a large yielder. The male had a ton of pods and pollen it put out so I already harvested a bunch and killed it. I will be making f2s and crossing it to a few sour60's. I'm also saving some in the freezer for later, just to big and vigorous to waste him lol. Ill let you know how they Finish up.

Hi DC-
I recall when growing out, part of the Double Barrel coming on slow, too. I think you'll see an explosion of growth, girth and weighty buds soon. Sounds like a great cross DB x Sour60. F:M ratio doesn't sound great, not the typical. I've read where those using Super Thrive garner a better f:m ratio. That's what I've used faithfully for decades. Check your PM box. |
