I don't doubt you on bit bro. Hell there may be an even better Glue to be found. I'm not hating on your price man. You have a true gem to work with so it's bound to be some amazing smoke.

I'd never actually do such a thing - that was just a matter of philosophical opinion. I took a lot of heat for that comment - but I really do stand by it 100%...

I do think seeds in general, are too cheap. Cannabis is the ONLY think I have ever found in my life - where you can spend less than $100 and from that investment generate virtually unlimited income, if you so desired.

If it was ANY other industry...any at all...you'd pay 100x that just to get in on the ground floor of something...just to be a part of some chance to generate / make a profit.

I think we are growers are a bit jaded perhaps - we forget how EASY it can be to re-coup our investments...again, if that is what one decided to do...

$100...even $1000...IS NOTHING - compared to finding a plant that will literally provide for you a lifetime. I mean for crying out loud - the going rate is $60 an 1/8 in most dispensaries - so you mean to tell me, you'd rather spent $120 on a 1/4 that'll last you a week, but to say $100+ for a pack of seeds that'll last you a lifetime is TOO MUCH....

It's just ludicrous...really, I could rant on this topic FOR DAYS.

YES...seeds are FAR too cheap. I've always thought so. As a consumer, I have never once thought anything other than...OH MYYYYY - SCORE!!!! Regardless the price I have paid for seeds...and I've shelled out some pennies!!!

I have explained that fully...

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.ph...1&postcount=21

I think...if you read the stickys at the top of the Stank Bros forum - there is one about my feelings on testers...

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=259659

Besides - even if I were to do "testers" all that serves to do 9 out of 10 times is create a hype as others grow what you can't have - then the anticipation builds into buying frenzy...score one for the breeder! How often are "testers" actually "testers" and not just some pre-release hype machine???? Uhhhhh huuuuuuhhhh.

Stank Bros is part of that scenario. We know what we are working with...and we don't hype our releases...

The "testers" for BooBerry Kush are going out - even though the male has been culled due to a change in focus on my part. But those seeds were actual testers - I hadn't planned to release any more of those exact lines at all - it was just to learn about the male a bit more in varying environments...testers are for my beneift, technically. It allows me to see more offspring in a shorter period of time...that's all it does.

GG#4 x SSCDH does not NEED tested. The male is proven. The GG#4 is one of the BEST plants I've ever seen....period.

This hybrid - is going to rock socks. Plain and simple.

You are MORE than welcome to participate in the release - you are more than welcome to sit on the sidelines and get left out. Your choice - no one is forcing your hand either way. All I say about it. Your choice.

I can understand that point of view, but who doesn't want VARIETY?
If seeds were so expensive no-one would be able to collect a variety of different seeds....

All other vegetable and herb seeds are cheap, so I think it is only common sense that cannabis seeds shouldn't be ludicrously expensive?

I understand they are not exactly the same, due to being generally illegal, but what's good for the goose is good for the gander, isn't it?

If they were ludicrously expensive you yourself would probably not have as nice of a collection as I imagine you do?

While some vendors are STRICTLY about making bulk money, I think most seem to have a 'I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine' philosophy, where they can make SOME money, aswell as share their favourite genetics, while also being able to aquire other peoples genetics if they desire, without selling their house.

Isn't that 'OH MYYYY, SCORE' feeling a good one.

Chazz, what we are talking is obviously not a real world scenario, that is why I stated it was merely a philosophical thought...

Honestly, when I first started growing...I FULLY expected seeds to cost THOUSANDS. When I found online forums I had been gifted a few things, but when I decided to buy things I found Seed Boutique and ordered up some Nirvana seeds, walked away with 3 strains for under a $100 after shipping, I felt like I had just stayed at a holiday inn express....rofl...I truly felt like the wisest man in the world!

My point being...is it isn't REALISTIC to charge such prices and nor would ANYONE pay them if you were the only one doing it...

But imagine this - if they WERE that expensive...how much more time would everyone take to F2, F3, F4, etc, etc, etc - and bring from within their own purchase the VERY best of what existed in the genetic line? Your right - we wouldn't have thousands of "strains" being offered via companies - but everyone that grew, would have custom built / made strains that worked EXACTLY as they wanted them to via their personal isolation and selections...and the end result would be much the same, only the variety would be in the hands of others, versus the hands of companies, always offering something new for sell....

Not only that, if prices were that high, I'd expect companies wouldn't be able to survive if they had 5 people buy bogus / bunk seeds - they'd disappear over night. There would be a whole new level of expectation involved in the purchase...and demand for MUCH higher quality would exist...

Regardless, it is merely conversation, and never have I ever planned to offer anything at such a price...nor have I ever thought it was actually practical - it is mostly residual thought from when I first started - and reflection upon actually being a vendor now...

Yeah, seeds are cheap - in the grand scheme of things - and I LOVE IT!!!! Always have!!!! I'd never want to change that!

He had his chance at being greedy... GSC... IMO, if he chose to work with GG#4 instead of GSC it clearly shows he is trying to better the gene pool instead of line his pockets...
