testing?

Nope. There is no need really.

I'm a big believer of testing things when using new males - and I know exactly how this SSCDH male breeds...there is no mystery there, so I'm not really seeing the need.

In one sense, no one really knows how the GG#4 breeds...it could breed representations of itself...or it could through out a ton of different phenos / variations - after all, it is a 3-way poly...made of polys.

The only aspect of the cross I'm even slightly concerned about - in the GG#4 - the chocolate diesel is virtually non-existent in the cross. I'd assume it is latent in the pheno / expression. Means it will / could resurface when outcrossed and give rise to more variation than expected. Given the GG#4 was made when the Sis x chocolate diesel hermied a bit; well, Chem Sis I have seen is stable, even in outcrosses - so, it's fair to assume the hermi trait was handed down via the chocolate diesel - and that makes sense given the nature of most diesel lines and their finickiness to various forms of minor stress...

SO - the only concern would be - latent expressions of the chocolate diesel surfacing and having a few late flower nanners that aren't sterile..And honestly - that isn't a big enough worry for me to NOT make this cross.

The simple reality is - I want these beans to sort as badly as everyone else...lol. There will be amazing plants in the mix. The phenos that are like GG#4 + the added benefits of the SSCDH male, will produce some truly amazing specimens. I fully expect to find a DREAM plant in this hybrid - even more so than the GG#4 already is. These will be epic seeds...I have no doubt.

It is that lack of doubt and utter faith in the SSCDH male, that allows me to say, there is zero need to test them. The male is proven, many times over. He improves EVERYTHING he touches without fail...

The only question I suppose you'll have to ask yourself - is do you want to grow some of the best cannabis you've ever had the opportunity of growing - or do you want to stand by the sidelines watching everybody else strike gold...literally.

pricing?

Thanks.
Haven't really decided this, honestly. It comes down to how many seeds are actually made from a single plant. GG#4 produces a lot of bud sites so in my mind it should be fairly easy to make seed - but it is true that different plants make different amounts of seed...and I certainly don't package every seed made - only those that are fully healthy / mature.

Keeping in mind that Sbay gets 50% of all Stank Bros sales - which helps fund this site and keep it free to everyone - it has been discussed amongst those that have say as to what is FAIR...expect some where around $80-100 for a pack.

That's fine.

I was just checking to see if you weren't going to play the '$1000 per pack of seed' card that you had mentioned earlier this year. lol

That is pretty steep $ for untested beans... They may be 100% worth it though...
