A question BOG.

Hi BOG. I am currently growing your bogbubble and LSD I have Bogglegum and BMR in the fridge right now. On my current grow I have been nothing but impresed with the genetic strength of the plants. They have been great and have presented no problems. But I have a question about something I saw.

Last night though I saw something weird on one of my bogbubbles, one of two that is and one of my three LSD's. Growing out of the top cola on the bogbubble was a really weird looking thing it was not leaf or bud or anything in in the middle it looked like a little yellow potrusion like a little mini bannana or a little dick coming out. Now I have seen a male flower many times and it was not that. It was just a weird little bannana looking thing. So I thought no big deal I picked it off but then I found another one only two so far on the bogbubble.

On one of my LSD's I saw the same thing. Same place aprox but a little farther down on the main cola. The crazy thing with this one was that right beneath it was a seed that was starting to grow. It was a very well formed green little seed pod. So I picked off the seed pod and the little yellow dick and I haven't seen any like it any of the other LSD's or the other bogbubble so I would say it was only on the two plants.

Do you know what this could be? Could those little yellow things some how be a variation of a male flower that could be pollinating some of the buds. So far all I can think is that they are some hermaphiditic mutation or variation.

Any way. Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Sounds like a hermie flower to me...

Late in flowering when taken on the long side some strains become prone to an occasional mistake. This is due to the fact that the female is stressed just by being denied pollen. Other factors also influence this like lighting hours and leaks, deficiencies and stress of any kind.

Late in flowering this sort of thing can be induced in most strains and unless this becomes a problem it is inconsequential. I never breed any plants that have shown hermy tendencies and I intentionally allow light leaks to find plants prone to it. Are you taking your plants on the late side? BOG

Right on BOG. No they are actually just finishing. Today is 41 days flowering. It only showed on the one Bogbubble that I am not keeping thank god because the keeper is outstanding. And the LSD's are going to be retired after this. So nothing is really lost. It's wierd I have never had this before. So they are just a female flower that shows at due to stress then? Could that be what pollinated my one LSD plant to make a seed?

Yes, it made the seed.

It is a hermy flower but the plant isn't a hermie is all I meant. Always best to keep a mom with no hermie tendencies of course. BOG

Cool thanks BOG, BTW the bogbubble is just out of this world I could have harvested at 40days no problem but I will let her finish. She should be done at about 45 days!! Chunky and bubblegummy as hell.

Thanks
