In the jungle....
Well another cannabis season is here,
ive prepared the fields a little better than usual this year, a year off doing some study and thinking made me slightly change how i was doing it before .. Im still in trenches ,, but have made a much wider hole than usual, and i dug a little deeper , cannabis gardening is a lot like making a chinese meal, most of it is preparation , the actual cooking time is minimal ... ok wont talk more without some pics ,,, patch #1 patch #2 |

Theres a few strains there,
the sativa dom varieties went in first , mango haze, afghan haze, rolling stones , oz sativa x c99 and colombian gold x c99 , they are all the larger plants in the top of patch #1, the rest are z99 , z99 x c99 , Mbs and Mbs x c99 ... mostly testers with a few for personal head stash ... |

This will give you an idea of what this soil can grow ..
200 years back the forest was full of giants like that, you could ride a horse through there , it was quite open apart from the hanging vines , im told you had to have a lantern in the middle of the day, the canopy totally blocked out the sunlight, since being heavily logged , and light has reached the ground, thousands and thousands of young trees are competing for their place at the top of the canopy , sadly there are very few virgin rainforest areas left in Australia.. |

Here is the soil making process in action,
an old tree has already mostly turned to soil , it feels like coco , very light and friable , ive read 10 tonnes of leaf matter etc per acre reaches the forest floor annually , thats a lot of mulch ... in the areas where its able to build up , the soil is a nice rich brown colour , the more exposed , the more red, the poor soil is almost orange ... |
