First off let me say that I have been impressed with these thus far.
They grew quite large for autos and the frostiness is beautiful. I noticed three distinct phenos out of 5 plants. Two are very frosty with weird bud formation two are more sativa in bud structure less frosting and one is kinda like both of them. Average size is roughly 3 feet tall, with decent side branching and they all were female luckily with no male flowers. They all auto flowered like advertised. BUT even with small flowers some of the plants have been developing Bud rot, botrytis(sp?). I have adequate ventilation and a large fan for circulation. I even have two other Auto strains with no bud rot. I ended up having to cut two of the criticals down cause the yhad it the worst but all of the critical have some budrot except one plant. I just will clip off nugs until they finish but I am very disappointed in this strain. One of my other autos is a Cream Caramel that is supposedly a mold/budrot prone strain with nothing bad on it... I would like Big Buddha to put that this strain is prone to bud rot botrytis(sp?) on his description. I have quick dried a couple nugs and it is very stoney, I tastes good, smells yummy, looks great when growing BUT I'm so freaking disappointed that I will not be able to see these plants until fully mature because of the bud rot problems... I planted 6 DNA 60 day wonders and 10 Joint doctor Chronic ryders last night to fill remaining space in green house. Btw I have two normal plants in there too, I am having to build a new greenhouse around existing one cause one of the plants wants to make tom hill proud ![]() Pictures will come but I may just start a new thread for my greenhouse.... Anyone else with experience growing these Big Buddha Critical autos??? |

Critical Mass is known for the issue, not really surprising that a hybrid made with it would have it as well. Especially an auto strain as it's a common problem with them too (Lowryder based ones at least).

Sadly more bud rot has been found again today....
DOes anyone know of any GOOD Outdoor Autos?? I was thinking about Frisian dew auto but I had good results with a few years back with Mdanzigs blue streak. Grew it outdoors with no problems, it practically grew the same indoors. Hopefully Blue Streak #2 will do well.... I shall see. |

I stand corrected. When I read the strain description I saw NorthernLights x Mexican ruderalis x bonkers....I missed that lowryder part....
Lowryder Northern Lights x Mexican Ruderalis x Bonkers Male I found out why I have been plagued bybotrytis.... I have a few spider mites and I just recently read that spider mites can carry botrytis.... DUHHHH!!!! I feel like a moron, sorry Buddha!! |
