Was just watching lockup and they featured a girl in Santa Rita County (Oakland, CA) that was serving a year for accessory to involuntary manslaughter. Her boyfriend and his friend were blasting indoors and the friend died. Her boyfriend got 3 years, but at first they tried charging them both with second degree MURDER. Thats in Oakland folks, with a fairly liberal DA. It's never ever worth extracting indoors, if you even have to question that then I question you making bho-- or anything dangerous for that matter.

Hearing all these horrible stories honestly has me reconsider blasting period, and I ALWAYS blast outdoors in a well ventilated area.

I always make sure my pockets are empty and that conditions are not favorable for any static electricity, but even then it makes me nervous as I feel like I'm holding a glass bomb in my hands.

The automated Mk II also has its own bottom exhaust cabinet, but we don't do any open column butane extraction indoors, even in an exhaust cabinet.

Despite the cabinets, we don't run the manual Mk I or III's indoors. Only with recirculating fully automated Mk II, in a specially constructed cabinet, in a specially constructed building, standing alone away from other structures.

It will only leak butane by accident and the room exhaust rate is one complete air exchange every three seconds in a spark free room.

Our insurance company won't insure an extraction lab, that is part of a residential structure, nor an open column extraction operation, so ya'll might also give some thought to the financial repercussions should something go wrong, go wrong, go wrong..........

so what ur sayin tho, is it IS possible, just not for most fucktards...lol

you were talking about a hood vent. a hood vent will not do the trick, as it will let the room fill up with butane till it's full to the top before it starts extracting it. that is useless.

your welcome, i guess, wasn't aware of any speculation or advise. just plain facts.

if you want a thread to discuss how to make a blasting structure with the right kind of ventilation, nothing is stopping you doing so. but that is an advanced subject and not appropriate to this thread which is here to warn against doing it indoors. those that know enough to build a safe extraction facility don't need this thread.
