yeah, well its good thing to ponder

And we dont think about that even outside butane fumes can sink to the feet of an unsuspecting human

And just one static spark from clothing can set it off

You might never see it coming

We have seen the children burned by this....not too cool

And then they have to live like that forever

Ironically cannabis oil can help heal them...

Ive heard lavender oil is amazing healer of burns

people should look into the iso 2 and iso 3 machines for oil production
https://skunkpharmresearch.com/iso-3-by-d-gold/

maybe pick up a rosin press....but dont mess with these areosol solvents

let the pros do it....And they probably favor CO2

Last Updated Monday, March 12, 2018 5:33PM EDT

Ontario Provincial Police say a 31-year-old man is facing a slew of charges after a house fire in Pembroke was linked to a drug lab.

OPP were called to the home on D’Arcy Street March 8, after an explosion and fire. An adult man and a three-month-old baby were inside at the time. Both were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Police say Child and Family Services is aware of this incident and is conducting an investigation.

The police investigation revealed that a secret marijuana hash oil extraction lab had exploded. A warrant was executed Friday.

31-year-old Kurt Dehaan, of Petawawa, is charged with several counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, one count of producing a schedule II substance, one count of arson by negligence, and one count of possession of counterfeit currency.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and involves the Ontario Fire Marshall.

2 people burned in Boulder home explosion that police believe was drug-related
By John Bear
Staff Writer

POSTED: 03/15/2018 09:19:25 PM MDT | UPDATED: ABOUT 2 HOURS AGO

Boulder police and fire are investigating a house explosion at a home in south Boulder that left two adults with serious injuries on Thursday night.

The explosion happened at a home on the 4600 block of Macky Way shortly after 8:30 p.m. and is believed to be drug-related, according to a news release. The release did not state what type of drugs are involved, but radio traffic indicated that the explosion was first reported as a lightning strike but then as an explosion involving hash oil.

Macky Way was lined with fire trucks on Thursday night, and large number of firefighters could be seen entering a home. Police also had a large presence on scene and could be seen talking to someone seated in the back of a police car.

A neighbor who declined to give his name said he heard a "boom" and drove his car onto Macky, where he saw two badly burned people who pleaded with him for a ride to the hospital. He said he took the two people to a hospital and returned to the neighborhood, where he spoke to police.

The man said that he didn't know the people who he took to the hospital but is familiar with the people who live in the home.
Another neighbor who also declined to give his name described hearing and feeling a "big boom."

"We thought something fell on our house," he said. "It was really loud."

Neighbors said the neighborhood is generally very quiet.

Woman Arrested after Honey Oil Lab Explosion in Stockton Gated Community
POSTED 2:59 PM, MARCH 15, 2018, BY JOE KHALIL, UPDATED AT 03:00PM, MARCH 15, 2018

STOCKTON -- A woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a butane honey oil lab explosion at a Stockton home on Pebble Beach Drive in the Brookside neighborhood.
Two men, ages 40 and 33, were severely burned and are in critical condition. In video obtained by FOX40, one man was seen with most of his clothes burned off.

The garage of the home and a vehicle were destroyed.

Investigators located about 500 pounds of marijuana, 40 pounds of finished honey oil and $80,000.

Erica Ham, 23, was arrested on narcotics manufacturing charges and one animal cruelty charge.

Police said code enforcement may have to demolish the home because of the extensive damage inside and out.

The home itself was valued at around $700,000, but the Brookside neighborhood is dotted with several million-dollar homes.

Neighbors told FOX40 they were blindsided by the explosion, that they had no idea what was happening inside the home.

"It'd be a good hideout for somebody doing drugs because it just doesn't happen here," contractor Mark Schnabel said.

This was a closed loop system operated indoors with apparently little to no ventilation according to other reports:

""In this one they were using a closed-loop extraction system, which is large capacity," said Sgt. Lance Manner of the San Joaquin County Narcotics Task Force."

"The "closed-loop extraction system" Sgt. Manner referred to above was designed to recirculate butane for greater efficiency and safety. Since even the professional rig went up in a fireball, you can judge for yourself the safety of ma and pa honey oil makers using butane aerosol and glass pipes or PVC or whatever in an unventilated room."

Bend residents burned in hash oil explosion
KYLE SPURR, March 20, 2018 at 09:45PM

Two Bend residents were seriously burned and a 3-year-old avoided injury Monday evening after an explosion in their home due to the illegal manufacturing of butane honey or hash oil, according to Bend Police.

Bend Police responded at 5:31 p.m. to a report of a loud boom in the area of NE Weddell Road and NE Hidden Valley Drive. Officers determined an explosion happened at 3058 NE Weddell Road No. 2, where they found David Carl Paulsen, 32, Jennifer Rose Paulsen, 32, and a girl, 3, inside the home at the time of the explosion.

Both adults were seriously burned and transported to St. Charles Bend by the Bend Fire Department. The 3-year-old girl was not injured, but was later evaluated at St. Charles as a precaution.

The duplex structure has significant damage from the explosion. The blast was strong enough to lift the roof off the building and move the foundation by about 4 inches, according to police.

The neighboring duplex resident was evacuated until the entire structure could be made safe.

Officers searched the Paulsens’ duplex and found evidence that showed the explosion was likely due to butane being used to extract THC, for the manufacture of butane honey or hash oil.

The investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.

Hash oil, also known as honey oil, is derived from marijuana. The hash or honey is concentrated THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. Hash oil is manufactured by using highly flammable materials, such as butane, to refine and concentrate the THC, making a product which can contain up to 90 percent THC, according to police.

There has been a dramatic increase in the number of marijuana butane hash oil lab explosions in Oregon in recent years, according to police.

The Bend Fire Department, the Oregon State Police arson and explosives unit, the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team, the Department of Human Services Child Welfare and the Red Cross are assisting with the investigation.

Think as the market crashes, and supply floods everywhere we will see more and more explosions. So many people with excess flowers, or so cheap to buy it, get it fronted, and try to blast it into cash.

Also with the excess supply and market crashing, people are blasting more often and at faster paces.

The stupidity amazes me. Locally, the one single apartment complex in the entire town, which had 4+ children living in it. Had an explosion recently. Ruined one apartment, nobody hurt luckily. They found 180 processed units, illegal firearm, and of course butane.

Think most of the explosions these days, the people are driven by money. Its not about medicine or even having really good smoke. Just about processing for cash.

So many other ways to safely make good medicine/smoke. Would be interesting to see statistics of butane labs exploding compared to meth labs. I wouldn't be shocked if butane is in the lead at this point.

99.9% of the explosions reported in this thread occurred due to insufficient ventilation along with unsuppressed ignition sources.

Butane and propane are superior solvents due to their non-polarity, low boiling points, non-toxicity, and extremely low odor.

HMK - I see my local legal delivery services are beginning to offer any nugg order squished for a small fee, nice.

Police say Kennewick man blew up townhouse cooking hash oil
By Jake Dorsey
Tri-City Herald Mar 22, 2018

KENNEWICK, Wash. — A Kennewick man blew up a townhouse Wednesday while he was cooking hash oil, police said.

No one was hurt by the afternoon explosion at the townhouse off South Dawes Street, near Edison Elementary School, police said.

The explosion damaged the man’s townhouse and his neighbor’s, according to police.

The garage door was blown outward, and the glass windows in the back of the townhouse were blasted out.

Kennewick officers said they arrested Gabrial C. Schumacher, 37, after he allegedly tried to run away from officers responding to the explosion.

Firefighters had to put out the small fire that started because of the explosion. A building inspector was at the scene.

Hash oil is created by extracting and concentrating chemicals from cannabis with a solvent like butane, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The process can lead to a buildup of volatile gas that can explode if not ventilated.

If you asked the average BHO maker to fix a propane appliance or natural gas furnace would they?

There's a reason a propane and natural gas license is required. To me all BHO makers should have
the proper certifications and having the propane and natural gas license would be a step in the
right direction. If you can handle propane and natural gas safely. Butane usage will be easier
and much safer due to proper training.
