Well, my girl has been asking me what I want for my birthday, and I didnt figure it out until a second ago. I decided Im gonna ask for a vape, but I have no idea which one, theres SO many out there now.
I know theres ones to avoid like the vapir, etc., and Id love to get a volcano, but I know theres gotta be some comparable vapes out there in like the $200 range. I was thinking the vapolution, vapor bros, possibly the aromazap. Anyone have any other suggestions, or links to reviews/comparisons, etc.? Thanks.

I was talking to a friend in Cali recently, and he told me he picked up a Cano for 300 at a local head shop. If you could find one at that price I'd recommend it, I've tried a few different vapes, and the Volcano is just the best, bottom line.

Volcano's are convenient and all (handy for groups and such). But the valve gets resined-up & sticks, the bags need to be replaced, and they don't hit as well as others. Vapes like the vaporcannon and vapor bros seem to hit better because you're sucking the air through the herb instead of fan-pushed air going through it. Seems to make a difference...like there's a higher air:vapor ratio in the volcano bag. Plus you can control the hit from a whip-style vape by changing how hard you hit it. But maybe I'm over analyzing this.
I would get a vaporcannon if I were you. That's what I bought. It has a ceramic heating element (not metal), it's glass-on-glass, has an on-off switch, and hits like a champ. They are listed at $121 on eBay from gotvape.com (look up their ebay store for the sales). |

I've got the VaperWarez vapo which is pretty much the same as the vapor brothers I believe and I've had great results with it. Definately makes your stash last longer and is easier on the lungs. It does take some time to get used to getting the temp just right and the correct speed to breath in at. I've heard the Volcano kicks ass though, if I could afford it I definately would get the Volcano, maybe next time. Either way I read that you can cook with the Vaped weed to extract the last of the active ingredients, so save your Vaped bud and give it a try. I haven't tried yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Well i can post some of my experience. I've owned a vapor bros, vapolution, aroma zap, and silver surfer. By far i like the Silver surfer best.

I have a "Hot Box" vaporizer and I love it! Very simple, very easy to use. I paid $135 including shipping on ebay. I've had it for about 2 months, and I use it every day. I don't smoke cigarettes, so it really helps with the smoker's cough and such. Much healthier, much tastier, and my stash lasts much longer. Everyone I know who has tried it loves it. I know I might sound like a salesman for these things, but I really do think it's one of the best herb related investments I've made. I'm sure that there are other really good vapes out there, but for the budget minded stoner, you can't go wrong!
Good luck and happy vaping!!! Peace!! |

All the box/whip style vapes are pretty much the same concept. IMO, they work great and get the job done.. but in reality it is just an overpriced soldering iron. The Cannons/Bros elements burn out a lot, not like repairs aren't free, but it's a hassle waiting 3 weeks trust me.
Once I bought a Volcano I never had any heating element issues as I did with my other vapes. It produced consistant vapor and yes.. just as tasty vapor as my VB's. The first bag is the best tasting, the second is decent tasting but with very thick vapor, and the third bag you still get vapor but it isn't as great tasting. One thing you have to remember about the box style vapes are you have to wait a minute or two between hits for the element to re-warm. It takes way too long with muiltiple people. You can get canos as cheap as $420.. well worth saving the extra cash. Dr.Feel good.. changing bags and screens are no problem. I probably change my bag once a week (I like to keep it clean) and it takes 10 minutes. I clean the valves and screens only 1-2 times a month which takes 30 minutes. I probably vape about 1/2oz-1oz a week through it. Anyways, if you ARE going to get a $200 vape.. then get a heatgun and a vriptech bowl to go in a bong. If you are still thinking about the box types, then go with the Vapor Warez.. best warranty and better element from what I hear.

Well, with everything said so far, Id still really love to get a cano, but Im leaning towards the Silver Surfer right now. It just looks like a really cool design, plus you can get a water cooler for it, has a great warranty, free grinder, neat little glass parts, etc.
Plus its under $200, which is a nice price.
