Thanks Silver!!!
And BI - thanks, F.A.M. - nice to know I'm not over here crazy caught up in my own little bubble. To know what I think is on point, ACTUALLY is - matters....lol. The FBPK - I talk a lot about Ken Father - mostly because it was the parent...and has nothing to do with me, directly. But, I hate I dismiss the aspect of the BKGK, being the mother of the male. BKGK is no slouch either. She's a great plant...crazy frosty in her own right. But really, I made the BKGK x Digi Bx1 father - so I don't like to harp on it much - but, the truth is, I couldn't have in another 2,000 seeds, found a better male to make these crosses with. That male was a great stud - he really did exactly what I needed him to do...and I knew it the minute he started showing certain traits. FBPK - represents TWO purple lines - the best purples I've encountered - Ken Father and BKGK#1 - the combination of the two was really bound to be some fantastic smoke. Ultimately, I'm just glad no one has been let down by anything to date! -lol- It'd really crush me personally to be called a hack or told I produced some garbage seed...rofl. I'd have to take my ball and go home...hehehe. (ie - really evaluate what I thought I knew about cannabis) dank.Frank

![]() I've been very happy with everything from Stank Bro's so far, and I don't expect any disappointment to come. I'm very excited to see what I find in the Missing Link x BubbaDigi Bx1. Thinking there should be some unique & special variations in phenotype. Glue x SSCDH will be some serious tits as well. Simply too much win there to not produce some crazy plants.

Congrats man so glad to see someone who loves the same type of ganja I do succeeding at breeding super potent purple fruit strains. I have been obsessed with this type of cannabis since my first grow.
Also can't wait to see what happens with your Glue line. I've always called those more green or gold type strains "hashplants" because of the amount of hash you get while trimming and sieving. Doesn't have anything to do with sativa/indica. You're "hashplants" are incredible. I can't wait until seeds become available. I'm an outdoor/indoor grower, use a more outdoor/dirt type style inside. Crappy yield but the best quality. Try to give the plants what they love outside then just leave them alone and let them show me. Can't wait to get a FBPK seven ft tall outside next summer. |

therevv - thank you! It's certainly a challenge to find the right plants to work with in the purple lines. As you stated, they tend to get watered down in the pursuit of making them more potent or higher yielding. The is a cut, called Krinkle - that is a very old, very early purple cut...can't remember if she is late 70's or early 80's - I'm thinking it was very early 80's...but I know where she is at and have heard some very good things about the flavors she produces. I'll have to check her out eventually and play around with her a bit...just because of her age! But, you'd be surprised what is still around...some where. The FBPK is certainly a building block for future work...that much is certain.
![]() Boss - I think BrotherIndica runs one of the very best SCROG setups I have seen - consistently. I'm not sure of the problems you are having, but I'm sure he could help you get it sorted! dank.Frank

Wow BrotherIndica I've never been a huge fan of scrog, you've shown it doesn't matter what strain I'll bet you could dial almost anything in and get it to rage. Awesome.
Frank, it's gotta be hard to find a match for Ken's Father because first it has to be super potent. KF looks like a hard strain to peg, it's not really a purple kush. Close but something else. I'll bet with the right nutrients and temperatures it comes out mostly green sometimes. It's similar to blues but not a blue either. That's almost the definition of something exceptional, it is hard to define. |

the Rev - I'm not sure exactly what Ken Father is - it is certainly a kush of some variety, and well...it taste more "purple" than anything else I've ever smoked. When you looked at the dried flowers, you can clearly see how they look - but I don't know exactly what it's genetic history is - other than the region she came from and to an extent how old she is.
The male I used on her, I personally think WAS the perfect fit - thus why I made the cross. I could hunt through another 500 seeds and I doubt I'd find another male like him...I really do. He was the perfect expression...I really couldn't have dreamed up a better pairing. Between Phillthy and I - Phillthy loves his BKGK for all the right reasons, but I was really impressed with the Ken Father. Not saying BKGK is less than, it was more of a flavor thing for me. They have very similar cannabinoid effects, very similar flowers, etc, etc. BKGK is a bit denser...a more modern type budset. Ken Father makes huge calyxes and is actually a bit leafier, more old school type of budset. Putting the two together only made logical sense to me. Best of both worlds. This has been confirmed by the people who have grown out the FPBK line - it is great cannabis - and holds very true to the old world purple kush type plants that both of us enjoy...I really think FBPK has been my favorite personal project to date... dank.Frank

Even when it comes out with more green highlights it tastes more purple than anything I've ever tasted. I love that leafier bud structure, that's why I always thought of it a little different than kush, in the fruit strain category. The large size of the THC crystals and calyxes always set it apart from the other purple kushes.
I could talk about Ken's Father/Purple Giant all day it was the best I'd ever seen and I discovered it in my first grow. You are inspiring me to go to Mendocino this fall and track down some old friends, shake a couple fruit trees and see if any apples fall out. |

Sorry, been experiencing some technical difficulties lately. These girls have come down and have been curing. I'm very happy with both results. Made bubble from the trim too.......FBPK yielded the same as all 3 other hydro plants with 1/2 the starting trim material......great hash plant potential.
