Big buddha blue cheese issue
I bought a pack of 10 fem big buddha blue cheese from attitude seedbank last year, we only just had a chance to run them in March 2013.
Worryingly during veg/flower there was no noticeable cheese stench, not an issue though as it's all down to the smoke but a little bizarre I thought, the fact I didn't have to fight extra smell issues was a bit of a bonus though, on finishing and drying the end result seemed to be nothing like any kind of cheese or blueberry no distinctive cheese taste smell or anything that resembled a relative of cheese or blueberry family. We ran all ten seeds with the same outcome. A bit disappointed as I know big buddha are meant to be the guru's of cheese in the seed form so certainly didn't expect the end result, the yield was pretty good though just disappointing smoke taste and smell. I did notice someone else had a similar experience with the blue cheese so maybe it's down to a poor batch of seeds. Any thoughts? Thanks all |

i feel for you m8.iv had the same sort of problem with bb seeds so rest assured its not only you. iv been through loads of his cheese packs only to find out that out of 50seeds only 3 wer cheese (totaly rubish phenos with 1 being a hermie) the rest wer blue cheese. then my m8 tried his blue cheese 10pak only to find they wernt the typical blue cheese but seemed to have a hazy taste to evry1,the only way i could describe the taste was a cross of blue cheese with a clone known as dunk wich is a old g13 selected peno.maby the people making the feminised seeds for bb need a beter system put in place becuse there seems to be a lot of accidental cross pollination going on and releasing of strains before the wanted and advertised penotypes are locked down with certain seed companys . bad luck m8. try going down the clone root. good luck.

Appreciate your input Nightmare and glad to hear i'm not the only one out there who had poor results, my end product resembled nothing like a blue cheese or any relative from either side. After reading ton of reviews on ***** and elsewhere, I thought it was a safe bet to run with these, I did consider the other breeders who run their own cheese variants but thought it would be a safe bet to stick with big buddha.
In fairness it's most probably down to a poor batch of seeds, but I would of thought I would at least have one bc that was half decent... It sounds like you had a rough time as well and having to crack 50 beans with 3 poor cheese phenos cheese is not something I would expect from a well established breeder. Cheese clones aren't an option unfortunately, so it's a matter of testing the water with the various breeders recreations, from your experience are there any guys producing stable and consistent cheese seeds, anything worth looking into? |

Thanks bud, ideally I would prefer straight up cheese rather than a cross so will look into the hgf avenue, let me know how you get on with your search and thanks for the advice.

944s2 have you tried hgf cheese m8 because from wat i know theres still is the only cheese in seed form that have a pheno wich is the most similar to the original uk cheese(brightside cut). no ones been generous enuff yet to show me the yellow brick road to the brightside cut...yet lol.

Nightmare/944s2, have either of you guys run the Kaliman cheese#1, what are you thoughts? from what I gather it's very similar to the original cheese.
