Ways to save your junk Y DNA. :-)

A good way to save your males to work with if you have limited room like most of us closet hacks i to make bonzai dads of your studs. What I do is flower my plants from seed and when i see the boys start showing up I will chop the plant down to something similar as these below. You can see I use 6 inch pots and even cups work great.

Anything small you have laying around will do. Just chop off the tops down to a few nodes, whatever you like, I prefer to leave a few myself, then trim the rootball down to be a little smaller then the pot you are going to use and repot your bonzai dad. You get these...

These small stubs will regenerate and grow in their pots, just water lightly and trim down as necessary.
When you are ready to flower throw him in 12/12 and you'll be harvesting pollen soon.

I like to alter that basic protocol a bit by leaving a few top colas when I trim em down and throw them in a small box or cab under a small t-5 to continue flowering immediately. By doing so you will see some potentially less desirable guys throw pistils and congratulations you have just performed your first genotype testing.
I really stress my boys by also letting em go without water and a bit and you can find males that will throw female pistils easily this way.
Toss em unless you are working on creating a monoecious cannabis line!

I have been using this technique to select reliable males from Blue Satellite 2.2 that can be prone to show intersex traits.

Just a little extra work and you can find a sturdy boy to spread the joy.

Still haven't gotten around to doing this. I whacked my dad like the Italian mob. In fact, the remains of his body are on ice. Just in case I changed my mind down the line.

Secretly I wish I had kept him in bonsai form. But it's a numbers game and all. So... yeah, no. Looking for better studs.

I hadn't the bones to cut mine that small. He's still revegging nicely but the roughly 20 main branches are hitting the two meters

. Put him even in a bigger pot cause watering every day sucked too much; guess I'm going to pollinate every single plant probably growing in my village LoL.

Just wondering, are you sure, I mean tested and proven sure, that male hermaphrodites have hermaphrodite-prone female offspring? Cause others claim that it actually helps against female hermaphrodites. I have no experience with either and scientific literature on that subject is nonexistent. It could contribute to a better understanding of sex determination in cannabis
