? ice to herb ratio

My 8 bag set arrived today. I plan on using a 20 gal plastic pail to mix my herb with a paint mixer. I then plan on draining this into my bags in 5 gal bucket that I cut the bottom out. I will have another 20 gal pail to recover the water. How much ice to herb do I need? FtC

I would suggest using a wooden spoon instead of a mixer. You will get a much better quality.

I was planning on 1/2 lb/1 lb batches. Would you use an oar or a paint mixer?

thanks

I want to thank you guys for the help. I made a T out of 1 1/2" pvc to try and mix with. I will try a batch with that and a batch with a 1/2" drill and a drywall mud mixer at low speed. I need to prepare about 10 lbs for an operation and I do not think my body can handle mixing by hand. If the quality is far superior doing it by hand I will get some help as I have to go thru a neck operation with no pain meds, and I am a wuss. FtC
