I want to know what makes a good breeder
As I have asperations at becomeing a breeder and want to know what it takes to be a good one.
As I see it BOG and Res dog seem to be held in the highest respect (rightfully so in my opinion) but I want to know more , I want to know what it takes

I understand the breeding process and selection of traits .
This is just a preliminary question as it will be at least a year before I even get started.
My plan is to start with my favorite clones in the Vancouver area and backcross to get e true representation of the originals, In time would like to make some of the basics ie Blueberry, bubblegum,haze etc etc . I also plan to ask for seeds and clones from anybody that will agree to part with them (not now in the distant future) I do not want to copy others creations but to create new lines (basics exempt)
One of the biggest reasons for my plan is to give to the med community I wish to supply my local compassion clubs and med users with an abundant supply of seeds (and clones) I also plan to make purchases seeds from whatever seeds are recommended at the time for this purpose as well.
In order for me to find the best genetics and grow characteristics my plan is to send seeds to members of this forum and others for grow reports (I think the best way for feedback) as I have send these parcels to people any advice on how to accomplish this would be helpfull ( I have the packageing figured out but not the mail delivery system) I will rent a PO box myself as the rest ???
Any feedback or helpful advice would greatly be appreciated.

A-Men, I don't want to know because I dream of selling seeds but would like to Make a cross between those two breeders and call it AQUAWEED or ReBog2112

collecting so many seeds

i've been planning to do this for a couple years. i'm a medical patient and i've been wanting to work on strains specifically for pain relief. not only for myself, but for all the other patients around here.
i even have a name in mind for my first project, but i'm gonna keep that one under my hat for a while. but i dont mind at all sharing what the foundation for my project will be.
sensi star from paradise seeds. i'll probably be in a position to start the project in about a year. and i figure within 3-4 years after that i should be ready to start getting it out there.
i've been studying the subject for about 2-3 years now. i think i have a pretty good handle on the mechanics of it but i wanna take my time and really get to know all these new strains i'll be working with as i know sensi star pretty well already having been growing it for about 4 years now. by itself a pretty good medicinal strain.
i also want to get a handle on the whole selection thing from first hand experience before i start really going full tilt.
i'm fortunat enough to have a friend who's also a patient who has agreed to swap space with me so i'll be able to keep flowering males off site in return for keeping them in medicine. this is going to be fun
it's a good thing i'm relatively young to have been growing as long as i have. i probably wouldn't be so patient about if i weren't.

but for the moment i'm content to just grow my own meds

But hey, who doesnt like spending time with they're baby's?

I would look into adding maybe some lifesavers to it supposed to be great with pain!

Somebody who stands behind their product, offers quality seeds at resonable prices and has a nice selection of stable genetics to choose from. Also they must build a good reputation within the cannabis community. This is what I look for in a breeder.

yeah aquaman i've got some lifesaver already for just that reason.
