The Grateful Dead thread...
Lets talk about the Dead...
Long time dead head here...don't really listen to them too much these days though. Favorite era for me is pretty much the 70's....up to maybe 80-81 or so. Can't really listen to anything past that..don't like the sound of their instruments past that time frame, and the later in the 80's you go the worse Jerrys voice sounds to the point it is almost painful.... |

i really dig 68-74 that's the honey for me BUT but, i really dig the later 70's as well
there is lots of gold in the 80's and even 90's (Branford Marsalis), its funny cause I find DSO really "shows ya the light" when it comes to the 80's and 90's stuff and I often find myself getting sucked into shows of any era they play that normally I wouldn't seek out

I listen mostly to Garcia Band, Legion of Mary shows now. Those were always my favorites.

anyone that has an iphone should get the etree app. Streams of almost every live dead show. Multiple sources of most shows (SBD, AUD). All searchable by year. GUI is very user friendly.
plus many other bands are available as well https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/etre...584868442?mt=8 Many of my favorite shows come from the brent era.
