GGG Test Grow Mango x OG & Lemon Thai x OG

I have recently started a test grow of Mango x JO OG, and Lemon Thai x Jo OG. I would like to thank the GGG crew for giving me the opportunity to run these exclusive genetics. I have become a die hard GGG fan over the last couple of years, and wasted a lot of time and money in search of superior genetics. When I purchased my first pack of GGG beans on the recommendation of a friend, I was a bit skeptical, but once the grow was finished and I saw and experienced the superiority of these plants I was sold 100%. I'm not knocking any other genetics, I know there are many great breeders out there, but until I started growing Gage, my luck just hadn't been that good.
Strains like Grapestomper OG, SunMaiden, Bright Moments and Flying Hammer have turned my acceptable but run of the mill grows into something above average, and the patients I grow for are quite pleased.
So on with the test. I received 12 Lemon Thai x OG and 11 Mango x OG seeds on April 30th. They were soaking within minutes of opening the package. I germinated these between paper towels, and all 12 of the LT x OG were germinated within 24 hours as were 10 of the 11 Mango x OG. I will get some photo's of the germination process posted shortly. (once I figure out how to upload them)

Seed & germination

Here are a couple pics of the seeds, and the germination of the seeds:

The seeds all germinated, one of the mangoes was a little slower than the rest. After I potted them all up in 10 oz cups, all 12 of the LT's emerged, but only 9 of the 11 mangoes came up. I was probably not careful enough planting these, and quite possibly damaged a couple. They did all germinate, but I ended up with 12/12 seedlings on the Lemon Thai and only 9/11 seedlings from the Mangoes.

10 Days in

Here is what they looked like 10 days after receiving the test beans:

The Mango x

The Lemon Thai x

I soon realized that these were using up all the moisture in the 10 oz cups too quickly, and not wanting to lose them to dehydration, I put them in 18 oz cups. They are potted in a mix of 50/50 H&G coco and Pro-Mix Organic. They will be going to a coco/perlite mix at the next re potting. They are being fed with General Organics nutes, supplemented with Liquid Karma, Fulvex, Neptunes Organic fish & seaweed fertilizer and a generous helping of Oregonism XL.

These next pics are the most recent, taken 4 days ago, 23 days from the soak.

23 days

Well somehow I got the the Lemon Thai pic in the above post without labeling it, so here is the Mango X pic @ 23 days and the same day for the previous Lemon Thai pic.

Looking good. There will be some exceptional smells coming from those babies one day! What are you using for lights? And how long do you plan on vegging?

Currently they are under a 400W Ceramic Metal Halide, they will be moved under a 100W Metal Halide when they outgrow the 400W footprint. I'm hoping to let them veg at least until they show sex, or somewhere under 30". I want to be sure I have room in case there is a high ratio of females. I just topped them last night, they were getting a bit tall without much branching. Hopefully this will slow the vertical growth some. I don't like putting immature plants into bloom, I like the results much better if they are given a chance to mature a bit first.

Yes, it's only been a couple days, and the branching has started already. I'll get a pic or two up over the weekend, they should be looking pretty good by then.

All of these test plants have shown sex, and are ready to go into 2.5 gallon pots for flowering. There ended up to be 6 female and 3 male of the Mango x OG and 7 female and 5 males of the Lemon Thai x OG.
I'm getting some strong fruit smells from the Mangoes, and some stinky skunk and OG smells from the lemon Thai. They are currently in 1 gallon pots, and being fed with the General Organics line, silica, liquid karma and weekly feedings of worm casting tea.
The grow is in H&G coco, feeding at about 1,250 ppm and trying to hold the ph as close to 6 as possible. Here are some pics taken July 4th/5th.
