How do you use the hoops? Do you cover your plants at any stage?

I don't know why, but I prefer seed runs. Clones are just too hard to keep rapid growth with my set ups. If I were to put clones outside, I would have to implement supplemental lighting, and my neighbors would not like that. If I were to keep them inside I would have to burn my 600w lamps. So I decided the best way for me personally to grow is to start seeds in a hoop house out doors. The hoop house protects from the severe wind my area has in March through May. It also keeps the air temps up, especially at night. About an hour or two before sun set I close up the hoop house and try to keep most the heat in for night time. My area doesn't really have frost dates, so I don't have to worry about that.

As far as covering up the plants for a light dep, not this year. I can only grow 12 plants, and have been toying with the idea of light depping 4 of them. However I haven't pulled the trigger on that yet. I would have to build a much bigger hoop house, the one I have now is just 10' sticks bent in half spanning 32". So call them 4.5 feet high.

This is a copy paste from what GRS has posted about his 5g's. The post I am showing is 5g's red pheno, and I am not sure what pheno was used in the bd cross, but this shows the linage of all 5g plants. The red part is just a phenotype.

Breeders notes: The 5G's Red is the C99 dominant line of our 5G's polyhybrid. In one third of these plants you will find sweet pineapple to grapefruit smells with large pinkish silver frosty buds. The rest will have more purple traits and larger buds. The high of the fruity phenos is very well balanced and relaxing. The purple phenos are a bit stronger and more indica dom. Look for the pinkish fruity ones with heavy branches for a keeper.

Thanks for the kind words, and I hope I get to harvest all my ladies this year as well. My security has gone up 10 fold. I had to make a decision, either grow at a new house and sell my house, or beef up security. I have implemented lots of new security, but my favorite addition is a 110 decibel alarm that will go off if tripped in the back yard. Cops already know about my grow, so no worry about them getting called out. In fact, they have instructed me to call them as soon as I see these guys coming back. Whether that be me catching them casing the joint on camera, or in the act in the middle of the night. I also plan to build a another fence around just my grow, which may or may not have barbed wire attached. This will also keep my dogs from dropping deuces on my ladies, . Once again, thanks for your concern.

I prayed on the whole gun thing, and I feel God told me not to have them in the same space together. They are a good 200 miles away at my cabin, just so I don't get any crazy ideas. Still have less than lethal force at my hands as a last resort. But the main idea behind my security is have trip alarms set up that are armed to call the police and sound alarms. It's a pretty kick ass security system, it alarms my cell phone and allows 30 seconds for me to stop the alarm before calling the fuzz. Hope it all works out.
