I 'm just back from the Mardi Grass where one of the most interesting things for me to observe is the relationship between the Police and the Public. It seemed to me that Police presence was down this year even tho I went thru roadblocks twice.

but to highlight Police logic I want to mention my son's experience on the weekend. the main trouble seemed to be that altho he was not Koori, amd didn't have a beard and dreadlocks ... he was driving a camper van. (I guess camper vans might carry a ton of drugs.)

when he was stopped the Policeman greeted him politely asking if he had previously been to the Mardi Grass. My son, also a friendly chap, said: "Sure ... I was here last year too." to which the Policeman replied ... and this is the logic part ...: "So you are a regular visitor to Nimbin which means I will have to put the sniffer dog thru yr vehicle." No worries sez my son because he was not holding and the matter was speedily dealt with and my son continued his day.

So do you dig what I 'm on about? regular visitors are sus.

I like the tip from the doco Never Get Busted.

He (ex DEA top cop) says to rub the inside of yer old baggies that contained weed on door handles, cupboards, everywhere you can and also throw stems etc in your garden. This way the sniffer dogs go mental and drive their handlers nuts... hehe
