your experience was so similar to mine i even went first to voyagers and started with kosher kush,, spooky.. and i used a free greenhouse grinder to grind my bud lol

one of my favourites was definitely devils harvest crew's CJ cut in grey area, best tasting cj i've tried..
That really is kinda spooky, lol! I totally forgot to mention, I also had CJ from Grey Area and I agree, very tasty!
We probably sat next to each other without knowing. I was the guy that needed a hair cut pretty bad

thx for those insights, acehaze.
was planning on sampling a few buds here and there but already the first sample (i think sourpower) was disappointing. nice smell but taste was shit, too much green and fert.
so the only other bud i sampled was mango haze vom katsu. was alright but nothing special. i expected a bit more. for some people it's their holy grail.
i should have hooked up with you and smoke few of your samples well next time.

btw: iam not sure but those cookies from grey area seemed to be not the real deal.
looked and smelled way different than those buds from true. no mentholy fragrance at all.

who are you? My lost twin brother?! ;-)

@Randa:
Where did you get that Sour Power from? The Voyagers? Cause I really liked it...

Yes I agree on the Mango Haze. It was a good smoke, but not spectacular. To me it smelled very Amnesia like, but that could be due to the Amnesia assumingly being a cut of ssh and Mango Haze the sister of ssh. But maybe it was just not the best expression of the Mango Haze.

I´m not very familiar with the Cookies strain, but I think there are different cuts out there. Maybe True and the Grey Area got different cuts...But people said, they liked True´s version much better.

Yeah, next year we will have a big again! My trip will be planned better, so there will be more time to hang out!

Peace
Ace

Maybe it isn't really cookies and they're just picking a name to move crops?

I hope I'm not intruding with my own 2013 accounts - this felt more like a general gathering than personal but lemme know op!

I stuck mostly clear of the tourist areas. I came up North for Greenhouse Lounge and De Dampkring. I found Greenhouse's Lounge to be way too crowded, open, and smokey all at once. Big wide open entrance with the bud bar right there didn't make any sense to me. Imagine ordering your drink one step in the door to a bar. The rest of the place I found to be overly smokey, but was glad to see a kitchen running. More of the coffeeshops should have a decent kitchen. I picked up some Super Lemon Haze from there, as I love that lemon taste. They didn't disappoint on that mark.

De dampkring was nice. Good decent weed, but the hash prices seemed insane. Glad they had a menu and I got to see the manager kick some French teens out for trying to sneak weed to an underaged friend outside. Glad to see a safe attitude towards it. Had a decent grilled cheese and I think a tea - limited menu but nice. We grabbed some amnesia haze and casey Jones from dampkring. Both very good, not overpowering. I believe I also picked up some Kandy Kush from here but can't remember for sure. It was also very good, and lacked the huge day-ending couchlock that mine had a few years ago. Overall it's what I want out of that upscale style cafe.

I am by nature a creature of small bars, dives, and generally less frequented places. I was staying in de pijp so I started with the first one I came across, "nice place". It wasn't a bad experience per se, but just a tiny tin space, buzzer on the door, room for maybe four or five people. I got some kemala gold there. Not what I would call gold but good stuff.

I ended up spending a lot of time over at de Kabouter, or the Gnome, on the west canal of de pijp. Their weed is not up to the caliber of the bigger cafes, and their offerings are limited, but the place has a "local bar" feel and has some regular characters roll in. I had an old screaming head pull out a brick of hash from his jacket and press a chunk of hash into my open hand while eye to eye with me rambling about Lebanese Red. The guy wandered out and I was informed he's an old hash trader from the 70s; it was like dealing with Black Dog from "Treasure Island".

I can also say Katsu was a cool location. Probably my favourite in terms of decoration and style. It felt like any other small bar/restaurant but with weed, and I like that more than the run down bodega feel. Was disappointed to not see Bubba on their menu, but can't remember what we *did* get. They had some grinspoon but at €20/g that was too rich for my blood.

We did another half dozen in the area but I can't remember any of them standing out. I'll try to remember more, but that trip is a haze.

Moppel, gets like two inches from your face? Way way way too close of a talker? The guys at de kabouter held off selling me hash because "this guy has way better stuff, he might give you some...".

@MrSterling: Sounds like a nice trip, too! Of course, everyone is welcome to share their experience and bud pictures!

@Gaius: Thanx, it was a pleasure to test them With all the nice stuff, that was shared and my homegrown I had brought there was no necessity to buy bud, but I´m always too excited to try new strains I didn´t try the Flowerbomb though, I wonder why...

And we really had nice weather (sitting here at home in the cold)
