Confusion Over Packaging--Help! - Sweet Seeds - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

I recently purchased a 5 pack of feminized Mohan Ram. Nowhere on the package does it indicate that it is an Auto-Flower strain (although I can't read the Spanish on the back), and it does give an outside harvest date of "finales de Septiembre"--which I assume means "the end of September". Finally, it has a lot # 86, and a "cosecha del : 15 Jun. 2012.

However, the price tag on the back says "JA 5276 SOS Sweet Seeds Moham (misspelling?) Ram auto 5pk Fem"

It also has a price of 36 pounds, 99 on the tag--which it way more than I paid for them. They came from Ali Bongo.

Can you tell me if these are auto-flowering or not? Are all of Sweet Seeds auto-flowering strains clearly marked on the packs?

Welcome to the Sweet Seeds subforum here at ICMag

Any chance you could post a picture of the package?

If the package is sealed then the seeds inside it are for sure what you can read in the package.

If it's Mohan Ram it says and the package was not adulterated than you have non-autos.

If it's Mohan Ram Auto it says and the package was not adulterated than you have autos.

Thanks Tommy. Yes, the package says Mohan Ram and says nothing about "autoflowering". It is sealed, and only the separate price tag affixed to the back says "auto" on it, as I mentioned earlier.

Can you tell anything from the lot #?

If they were automatic seeds, there would be written....I think...
I never had any problems with Sweet Seeds, maybe just a little mess with the prices?

Yeah, I just saw a Pic of the auto Mohan Ram sent from the place where I bought these. It's clearly marked "Mohan Ram Auto" on the front of the package. As you can see these have no such indication. Ali Bongo thinks they just mislabeled the packs.

Hi my friend, I sure you this pack is from feminized seeds, not autos.

Maybe the grow shop has changed the name by error.. and the cost!

Hi Jaypp, yeah Ali Bongo mislabeled the packs. The high(er) cost shown on the price tag is due to VAT being added for European Union orders.

Thanks everyone for such quick help! I think the Sweet Seeds sub-forum here is one of the friendliest on the internet!

When I get to it, the Mohan Ram will be just my second Sweet Seeds Strain--and I'm really looking forward to it! The one I've grow is SAD. It was beautiful; and it yielded 16 oz. dried and cured between 2 plants in a grow tent with a 1000w HPS!

I'm VERY impressed with both the quality I've seen so far, but also with the attitude of anyone associated with Sweet Seeds. I'm looking forward to many years, and many strains, with Sweet Seeds!

Retailer trying to save time, that doesn't track individual strains on packs of seeds.

When you want to know which strains to re-order because they sell better, you keep track of each strain with a different price tag/scan-target.

This person is obviously using one price tag to mark all their seed packets. (same price so who cares, right?)

Go with the description on the original packaging and ignore the retailer idiocy that the price tag screams.
