I pressed some kif together over the weekend in an attempt to make some hash, and overall it went pretty ok. We didnt have any pressing tools, so the kif was collected into my palm where it was then pressed for a while untill it stuck together, then it moved from between my palm and fingers, to between the top peice of the grinder and the bottom peice of the grinder flipped (so the two flat surfaces are against each other) where myself and two friends took turns pressing it. All in all, it was only pressed for about 30-40 minutes before we decided to smoke it in the bong.

I was just curious as to what else I can do with kif, hash wise. Most the methods I see here for making hash require bud.

EDIT: Also, I was wondering if putting your bud in the freezer, and THEN grinding it up or tumbling it, whatever your method of keif collection, had a positive impact on how much kif/keif(sp) is collected?

you could make kif into oil by dissolving it in rubbing alcohol then evaporating the alcohol away.

I always put my smoke in the bar fridge, for at least 24 hours, before I grind it.
I find I get a lot more loose trichomes this way, your mileage may vary.

shibby or anyone, can you elaborate on this technique? is it heat free or do you heat evaporate the alc. of?

I would assume the alchohol method is heat free. It evaporates easily
