I finally got to sample GSCookies of TrueCannabliss


This bud smells of kush with minty back ground and when smoked you can taste menthol OG,leaving like a menthol cold breeze sensation in your mouth, sorry this is the best way i could explain it

GSC is a very addictive smoke and now i understand why True keeps on banging on about it this sample was a nice clean smoke and a very enjoyable smoke and definatly worth having in my gardens one day

but its set up fairly and everyone can see every vote
I have no issue with it and I placed last in the Indica, my entry was not the one I wanted to enter as it was a bitch to trim
and by far a long way below the winners which I was pretty close on with my votes
I did not vote on my own entry as did one other judge that knew it was my entry
to me it wasn't ethical but each to there own thoughts on this

anyway I had a ball as did my son and friends that were with me for this event
and we will be there next year
maybe I will trim my entry better next year (I really am a lazy trimmer) as I can't do any worse

Jah hoover tactical voting? meh..i dont think so.
As has been said some samples where amazing but also 5,6 entry's that where unsmokeable, way too much nutrients, unburnable ,nasty taste. The winner's got it all right.super clean burn,white ash which just blows away, tight trim job,well cured, goodtaste,clean hit, length of high etc. the entrymusthave it all, as well as a good taste and high.
unfortunately I left my score sheet @ the hotel, otherwise I woud post up my comments, peoplehave to realise that when you are testing 45 types of weed you have to be as honest as possible and everyone has diferent tastes anyway..

yeah OP, having it so entering judges couldn't score their own at all would probably have been best. i had this idea in my head that every sample would get voted on 32 times and that the points they would lose if they were not allowed to score their own, would be felt deeply in the case of a tie of averages. but as the probability of a tie occurring is like thousands to 1 i figure it will be the way to go next time.

as for jah hoover voting tactically, i really really can't believe it. anyone that knows our mate jah_hoover, knows that he is a very fussy and harsh critic. his stuff is always flushed, dried and cured to perfection. also in the end it's about how you vote, some peeps give lower over all scores then others.

thanks for sharing those awesome cooky pics. that shit was really really interesting to smoke, would love to have it in my garden to further explore this strain. although truecannabliss gave me a lovely sample, enough for 2 spliffs, thats a strain i would like to smoke again for sure. can't say i found the minty ness, but i did get the cooky doughy connection and all round more-ish-ness full on

although Browser was invaluable with advise in advance of this years cup, he wasn't able to be there till the 19th in the end. so in the end it was growcodile, ojd and myself who made the judge packs. lets just hope next time every other entry doesn't arrive late again, as that really bummed out my 17th and 18th with running around getting people their late entries as well as giving out the judge packs etc. next year the entrants need to know that late stuff will just be shared, i will not be putting numbers on them etc. we will hassle everyone to get the entries sent off early though. specially because it's always the same late entries are not picked up by every judge. so we get less feed back on which the score is based.

As both of these people entered the cup, I know you need help to get everything bagged up but I don't think having judges(who have entry's) should be allowed to open and package up other judges packs, its just open to critisim.(I personnaly know them both and ojd and grocroc are both super cool cats ) maybe get something in place for next year.

I agree but we know oj and growcrocodile to be kool cats but next year we should have peepz who have not entered to arrange judge packs.
