5G's Blue and SSDH
So I started germ on 4 5G's blue and 4 super silver diesel haze seeds yesterday night. I have collected 7 packs of GRS about 80 seeds total. I have 5G's Blue, Purple and Yellow, also Super Silver Haze x Sour D, DSD x 5G's, and OG x (OG x Chem D) and i'm tempted to get more all the time.
PLAN FOR THESE Im going to veg them out until mid June before transplanting. Im planning on ripping out four old fruit trees in my yard that don't produce well anymore and transplanting into the hole from the old trees with about 25gallons of high quality soil per hole. Problem is, I will be gone from mid June to mid July so they will be pretty much on their own. They will be transplanted just before I leave town, I will cover the soil surface with a layer of perlite then a layer of cardboard to help the soil retain moisture and water them in thoroughly. I will have them checked on by family every so often depending how hot and dry it is, so they should be fine. ![]() Any questions or advice is welcome, more pics to come

I would worry that the layer of cardboard, if solid, would act as a roof and shed the water away from the plant. Your strains that you picked sound super yummy! I hope some outdoor pros have some good tips for ya...

Look into Bluemats (sp?) before you head out of town, or drip systems.
Good luck with everything this season, your genetics sound like fire. Hope everything works out for you while gone. |

The plants should be fine as long as they get checked up on a couple times while im gone. I looked into the blumats a little bit and i may try those out just for the peace of mind but i have a while to think it over still

Hey herbaless, stoked your growing these. I would definitely make sure you have a friend available to water them while your away. Not sure how close to the coast you are,but if your inland at all it's gonna be hot and dry as you know. I would suggest having someone check in on them at least every 3 days or so to make sure they don't dry up and die.
Also, you should ask hprc for the 5G's Blue clone they selected. I was really impressed by the meds they showed me,and it's a beast with tons of vigor. Enjoy the seeds and best of luck on the season. Happy growing. Peace.. |

Im about two miles from the ocean a little south of Big Sur, it can be really hot and dry but it will most likely be moderate temperatures with fog at night. I just picked up a pack of Blue Dream x 5G's to add to the GRS stockpile

I will be selecting which female plants grow best (vigor, health and dank'ness) in my area and doing controlled pollination and saving seed. I also have a friend who will grow out any strong males for me and collect the pollen. From the 8 packs I picked up so far I should have seed stock for a long time but i plan on picking up any new freshness that comes from GRS to add to my seed reserve.
@OrganicBuds, i would be very happy with some BD dom phenos for sure
