More Fems?
Heyya Charlie. I wanted to get your thoughts on making feminised seeds with your select cuts? For example, the oaxacan79 with your favorite mango biche. I think of how well the mextiza came out and assume we'd get more "next level" plants with these fem crosses. Personally I'm not sure I could properly grow something like the mango biche indoors, let alone fit a male plant in the grow. But.. I LOVE exotic sativas, especially when grown in their native habitat. Their effects are unmatched.

I would love to see Charlie make S1's of some exceptional landrace females of Mangobiche, Punto Rojo, and Oaxaca. And/or, crossing the selfed pollen to other exceptional females of different lines.
There are a lot of advantages to offering something like this for many growers. I don't understand why anyone would be opposed to it. |

yea its seems chefboy has a few screws loose, maybe needs a hug or something I dunno lol don't mind him. My interest lies with obtaining special lines. I missed out on the Mextiza and now am kicking myself over it, like many others I'm sure. I remember Charlie saying its very rare that 1+1=3. I think what many don't realize is that although there are other fems available, their progeny don't outshine the parents for whatever reason. You don't see reports on these other fems boasting extraordinary results. Obviously the Oaxacan79 and whatever NepJam female were used had those special ingredients.

just can't understand why any decent grower would prefer feminized seeds over regular ones

I like/love feminized seeds because I have quite limited space for growing in my apartment. I rather germinate one seed and be certain that it will grow up to be a big ass female plant than spend time (and space) vegging males which I don't have any use. Not all of us want to play the game called be-a-(wannabe-)breeder. (Not saying I'm a good (or either a decent) grower.) |

No breeder wannabe, it's just that any farmer knows he's got to stock some seeds for next season, that the purpose of seed itself, is no other than the continuance of life.
The way I see it feminized works as some kind o copyright system for seed-banks, to keep you buying over an over, and for lazy growers to save up some time. The market always ruins everything. Feminized seeds is equal to sterile crop. I don't mean to be disrespectful, just to speak my mind about this "feminized madness" that i hope some day comes to an end. best

Well said. Anyway I'm glad that there's a such thing as feminized seeds. I do think myself as a lazy grower, I admit that.
![]() Maybe someday I'll be able to see the upside of using regular seeds.

Tlapapa, yeh i agree about copyright and selling more seeds. I hope we`ll not a day when seed companies will do something like monsanto do right know with their shitty gmo organisms. Its all about fucking money and greediness. From some point i understand that micro grower don`t want to mess with regular seeds but i don`t want to see seed co`s selling only fem seeds like some dutches do now. Maybe 20-30% but no more.

There's alot of reasons dude. Legal issues being just one. I know it may seem shocking but some of us can't afford to lose our job LOL we don't all live in mommy's basement ya know
