The Future Is Now
This thread will be devoted to discussing what is happening with Kryptonite Seeds..Breeding projects, genetic searches and a general discussion of future hybrids in the works..
So feel free to comment, let me know what you guys/girls are looking for in the hybrids of today? I would also like to know if there is a real interest in landrace genetics (selected) of course.... The only pure sativa i have sold seems to have little demand and im curious if a hybrid using haze and south african would be in demand or haze and SE asian (thai, laotion) Of the seeds i have planted most or nearly all are high seed count..(30-55 seeds) Nevilles Haze. ............. around 35 GSC........................... Not sure if S1 or not Hashplant.................bunc h Purple Kush................bunch Kush line................... ECSD line............. HP x Chem...................50+ Strawberry bubba... Other lines of smaller #'s and will discuss these in future post..also getting a few OGK bx from my seeds.. donated back to me to look for some males...Very stoked about this as it was solid work on my part...Great male selection and might get lucky with these beans and find the stud i need to daate some of these ladies...lol.... You guys feel free to post up,let me know whats needed most....

Im sure i will be running through a hundred or so thai plants this summer..Ive heard of phenomenal plants grown from thai stock and in high school i smoked some of the most psychedelic herb in the form of sticks..lots of long stringy threads just coated along the tops/bud tips...Very similar to some hazes,,well the really special ones..
All the thai grown to date has been lackluster and didnt even want to finish the plants but did...i will certainly run some of gypsys along with some others.. So i guess your answer is yes if i happen to find some excellent specimens... Does anyone have access to the Viet Black...?Always just rumors of rumors...Guess i need to delve into the ultimate sativa thread.. Special sativas........... What are YOU holding........Let us know whats hot and actually yeilds potent sativa plants...Post up fellas.......

hey capt I believe the market is looking for something different, anything different to whats already out there. Chems, kushes, n hazes seem to be really played out after growing for 12 years, even DJ's lines which are my favorite are starting to bore me lol. DJ don't make nothin new anymore. The only haze anyone wants is A5 and NYC haze so unless ya have em I don't see the point in pursuing a haze line. Also you asked about Vietnam Black. I believe Dubi and Charlie have a really nice cut. BillyGoat also has one but he hasn't been online for sometime. The breeder snowhigh, who's name on here is Mota I believe, works with a whole lot of exotic landrace sativas. Bodhi also has alot of exotic stuff like different nepali lines and now the new stuff picked up in India. Basically aside from those I just mentioned, every other seed vendor caters to newbs. I know nobody wants to hear that but its the truth. There's a market for those growing 10+ years that isn't being served. Hopefully you can help us out capt.

Problem with the long flowering strains is only the hardcore old guys like us will have the skills or drive to grow em out Capt. I agree with G79. A break from the hyped strains is warranted. Bubba Chem Kush all are everywhere you look!
IMHO the Hawaiian, Aussie or Jamacian genetics haven't been explored enough. Zoidfuel from Moonunit hasn't been worked all that much and It's a killer strain. Not something one sees daily! I have access to Dalat but she's a 26 week flowering strain! Would be a hard sell unless crossed and flower time brought down to 70 or less! How about some Chocolate strains, Tangerine or Cherry? Just throwin out some thoughts.. Respect brother, I.R.....

Me too Watts and i know it is there waiting to be found...
Gb79, I agree with the present market is completely smoothered in the Kushes..Still some really good work being done but it is few and far between with most selfing or using any random male..I cannot stress enough the importance of finding good males and making standard hybrids..Selfing has its place but in my view it is very limited and will be used sparingly by me.. The guys in the sativa thread usually have wonderful plants but getting one is next to impossible...Really special sativas are few and far between and are held pretty tight. This is why I still grow so many seed plants and lose in the long run as so many are mediocre and it could have been a killer cutting to be used for seed or killer bud production..So many plants are basically useless except for hash ![]() I keep on doing it because i really enjoy finding killer plants on my own.. Kinda like the cuts CBF sent me..Those guys worked those seed lines and then plant a bunch of seeds from a given line and select the very best plants out of many many many seed plants..Not clones but seeds they know will yeild something special if they just take the time to "look"...If more people would grow out at least some seeds every crop the group of Elites would grow by leaps and bounds..More people are going to have to search..and share what can be shared... I have a lot of ideas it will just take some time to get it rolling.. I am also planning a move to CO so that i can do this right..I plan to flower the nevilles shortly and as the best show i will be pulling up stakes and relocating... The hazes are the only thing stretching things out but it is important for me to find the plants i want and will have copies ready to go as they show their stuff... This seed runs going to be a smash and grab...lol Just rooted cuts Grandad purps Tahoe OGK Top Rock Bubba G Mutha G Ortega/ogk Bubblegum/HazeSkunk

Hey G79,
Your so right on the Chocolate. I didn't realize so many already existed..LOl... It's getting harder to come up with new phenol types. Just got hold of a few Choco D cuttings to run I'm stoked on those! Yeah, the Dalat isn't worth my time! 14 weeks is about my limits!!! At that, I won't run those but once in awhile! I'd seriously like to see Capt'n run Moons Zoid lines myself! How about some Qxacan Capt??? Ox Haze sounds wicked? Cherry Slyder X Tahoe? What seeds ya gonna run? That might help us out on suggestions within your grasp there brother! Respectfully, I.R.....
