i have a cut that ive had for over 4 years that i got from kens collective that i believe is KENS GDP.. it looks a lot like the picture on the grandaddypurp website of Kens Grandaddy. but what is confusing is in the description on the website it says sativa?? i always thought the kens GDP was indica. i did notice the high had a bit of a uppity rush at times, but mostly it feels indica, it grows like an indica.

whats the difference between these 2 strains?

wondering if i shouldve grabbed a seed pack of the purp when i had the chance. or if the cut i have is the same thing?

I'm gonna attempt to answer this...
Bare with me, cause if you have followed me, or GDP gear since we first came out, there was A BARRAGE of misinformation.
So, Kens GDP, is as we know, yes, a true Indica plant. Very short and stout with buds like rocks.
I believe you got Kens GDP from the collective. The OTHER plant you are referencing, IMO, is Kens Grand Daddy... WHY call it something sooo close to another strain you already have? I couldn't tell you... BUT, i believe the grand daddy WAS indeed a sativa dominant plant, with no purple at all. I wanna say it was a light green, sweet smelling bud, similar to our Medusa if you have ever seen that...?
I will find out more and get back to you. Hope that helps. Oh, and as much as we would appreciate your business, if you already got the GDP clone, you found what you are looking for. I mean, there are phenos to be found from our packs, but you have the bread winning purp. Good luck man.

thanks that's what I was thinking, then the page just confused me a little lol. I had a buddy that was getting GDP heavily around 2004ish.. which lead me on my hunt for the cut so I know what I have is the real deal. I had messaged Ken on MySpace before you guys even had a Facebook or anyone was talking about the strain and he informed me when to go up to get the cut.. extremely thankful I've kept it alive thru bouts of pm and spider mites and thankfully those days are past and she made it out clean.
