Grom x Digi....and a Male - Stank Bros - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

Whats going on all.
I have been telling DF for a while now that im going to post up pics of my GromxDigi findings and im finally here.
I started the pack around 2 months ago. Out of the 10 pack I was only able to get 3 to survive due to grower error.
They were grown organic and were under a 4 bulb t5 flowering for 3 weeks before going under the 400. (upset about this)

Out of the 3 they were all different in their own way.

One was super squat and didnt really grow up but more out if that makes any sense. smells sweet with a subtle blueberry smell.

The second was a more vigorous tall plant.THIS PLANT SMELLS LIKE RAZZLES and some kind of bubblegum. The buds are huge for 4 weeks and completely covered is sugar.
I didnt take any clones of this one because I thought it was a male.
DF said they reveg SUPER easy so fingers crossed

The last was a perfect mix of them both. I was praying for a female. Well turns out its a male..I was pissed but decided to put him into flower just to see. THANK GOD I DID!!! I never saw trichs on a male like this before.. His balls are blinging and i can see trichs starting to form on the leaves. His balls are getting purple. This male is beautiful and i never thought i would say that about a male lol.

#1 Looks interesting. GROM = Purple Indica x Romulan. I wonder if that isn't some sort of PI / Digi type of deal going on there..

Honestly, looks opposite of what I'd have expected to see from these seeds...lol. The 2nd plant however - looks more like what I would have imagined these seeds to produce. I can see the thinner long blades expressed more clearly from the Grom cut in those flowers.

And that male -

For sure great little dude there! He looks really thin stemmed - is he floppy or does he support himself? Anytime you start getting visible resin LIKE THAT on a male - down the fan stems and such - you might as well devote a bit of time and space to him!!! Very cool find!

It's one of the things I really think I focus on - males. I have been working on a post about male selection as I have been asked a couple of times. But let's be REALISTIC - the male is 50% of the equation - ie equally important. If you are looking to keep and maintain moms and grow from clone, the same thing eternally, then I suppose learning to appreciate the males is a waste of time. However, if you ever really want to start smoking cannabis that is EXACTLY what you want - at some point you have to start taking your favorites and putting them together in quest of that grail.

Sure hope you have back up cuts of that male!! I've never re-vegged a male before!! IF NOT - be sure to collect and properly store as much pollen as you possibly can. You can never put a value on the RIGHT male...they are truly priceless.

DF yes i actually do have a nice back up of him. I thought this was a female for sure so im happy i have a backup. I will be letting the clone get rather large so I can have as much pollen stored as possible. Would hate for something to happen to him.
Yes he does stand on his own and has a nice solid structure. Out of the 3 seeds I had this was the standout.

I wonder how much more frost he can put on???
Ill let him go as long as I can. I wonder how he smokes???

I will have to select some females for him and see what he can do. I REALLY he is as good at breading as he is frosty..
Ill be taking more pics as I cant stop looking at him. Ever day just puts on more and more frost.'

He is starting to STANK.. Like sweet funky juice!!! Here are a couple pics of him so you can get a better idea of the structure and the frost.
BTW he is on the smaller side due to being under 2 CFLs.

Sometimes it's just not hard to tell!

I bet the San Diego's Finest folks wouldn't mind seeing a pic of what their Grom has been doing in far away lands!
